Las Vegas has their minds made up about what to expect from each Power 5 college football team in the 2024 season – for now, at least. FanDuel lists the LSU Tigers' over/under win total at 9.5 games. Is that a fair projection?
It is clear that despite LSU's losses from last season to this upcoming season that Vegas is still optimistic about the Tigers. LSU loses the Heisman trophy winning quarterback Jayden Daniels who was also the team's leading rusher. LSU loses it's second leading rusher in Logan Diggs to SEC foe Ole Miss in addition to it's two leading receivers in receptions, yards, and touchdowns in Brian Thomas Jr. and Malik Nabers. Also, LSU replaces it's offensive coordinator after Mike Denbrock left Baton Rouge to return to the Notre Dame Fightin' Irish to serve in that same role. Fourth-year quarterback Garrett Nussmeier takes over the starting quarterback position from Daniels and showed against the Wisconsin Badgers that while the LSU offense will look different this upcoming season, it won't drop off in offensive yards and points scored. What else could be a factor in LSU's wins and losses next season?
