After the LSU Tigers lost big to the Tennessee Volunteers at home in Death Valley last week, a lot of questions arose about Jayden Daniels' ability to be a starting quarterback in the SEC and Brian Kelly's in-game decision making. Rightfully so, since Daniels had yet to emerge as a great passer and had shown hesitation of lack of confidence in the pocket. Kelly remained loyal to his starting quarterback, a decision that paid dividends against the Florida Gators when Daniels had undoubtedly his best performance in an LSU uniform. By far.
Daniels threw just shy of 350 yards and six total touchdowns, three on the ground and three in the air. Daniels took command of the offense, didn't stress under pressure, and looked confident enough to make the deep ball throws that many LSU fans had been begging him to make all season long. LSU's man under center was fantastic against Florida; on the road, nonetheless. But the greatest question remains: was that a one night thing, or did Jayden Daniels and the rest of the LSU offense finally find a breakthrough?
