The Miami Hurricanes out-lasted the Virginia Tech Hokies despite spotting them 159 penalty yards in the game. What did we learn? We learned that the Hurricanes aren’t good enough yet to blow anyone out in the ACC. Miami has also been decimated by injuries. The Canes were without 7 offensive starters including key offensive linemen like Zion Nelson and Jakai Clark, cornerback Tyrique Stevenson, and tight end Will Mallory had to leave the game early with injury. 
Host Alex Donno discusses what we learned about Mario Cristobal’s team in their 20-14 victory. Donno praises Miami’s “next man up” mentality, with players like Colbie Young and Frank Ladson stepping up big. Also, walk-on transfer running back Lucious Stanley had to step up and carry some of the load with Henry Parrish out with injury. Donno points out that offensive coordinator Josh Gattis has slowly adapted this offense to look more and more like the pass-heavy offense from last year.
