To the surprise of Miami Hurricanes fans, Mel Kiper Jr. still projects Tyler Van Dyke as a first round draft pick. He considers TVD as the 5th best quarterback prospect this year behind CJ Stroud, Will Levis, Bryce Young, and Anthony Richardson. Host Alex Donno reminds everyone that despite TVD’s struggles, he still has NFL quality measurables like arm-strength and size and still has time to turn his season around. Still, it’s hard to consider TVD to be a first round pick with the way things are going right now. 
Donno reveals the weirdest stat so far for the 2022 Miami Hurricanes. The Canes are averaging the exact number of total yards, 448, as they averaged on offense a season ago. They are running for 51 more yards per game and throwing for 51 less. If the Canes can execute the passing game a little bit better, there is room for extreme improvements. Donno goes over the first year coaching stats for Howard Schnellenberger and Jimmy Johnson as reasons to give this current staff more time and patience. Howard lost 6 games in his first season and Jimmy lost 5 in his.
