WHAT A FREAKING START TO SEC PLAY FOR THE LSU TIGERS!
LSU took down the Mississippi State Bulldogs 41-14 in a dominant performance on the road at Davis-Wade Stadium to open up SEC play. Jayden Daniels completed 88 percent of his passes, the best completion percentage by any LSU QB in history who attempted at least 25 passes, with a majority of those targets going to wide receiver Malik Nabers. Nabers caught all thirteen balls that came his way for 239 yards and two touchdowns earning both himself and Daniels SEC co-offensive players of the week honors. It was a high-powered, accurate, and decisive performance through the air against the Bulldogs but also had a dominant rush attack. Daniels led the team in rushing yards yet again but Notre Dame transfer Logan Diggs got a lot of looks, as well, putting up 41 yards on 9 rushing attempts. Any Tigers fans with doubts about the offense should now feel much more confident in this squad to put up a lot of points.
So what can LSU do to ensure the offense we saw against Mississippi State is what we see throughout the rest of the season rather than the offense that struggled in the second half against Florida State? With an SEC West, and an SEC as a whole, that doesn't look incredibly dominant, where does LSU rank among the rest of the division through three games?
