The LSU Tigers dominated Auburn Saturday night defeating the SEC West foe 48-18 at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers from Louisiana extend their record to 5-2 on the season and 4-1 in conference play. Jayden Daniels and the entire offense continue to be remarkable moving the football notching their sixth game in a row of 500+ yards each game, something that no other team in LSU Tigers football history has ever done.
Jayden Daniels led the way putting up over 400 yards of offense both in the air on the ground. His lone smudge on the night was an interception late in the second quarter, but the defense was able to get stops and forced Auburn to punt before heading into the locker room at halftime. Also, we had a new name top the receiving charts for LSU on Saturday night with Kyren Lacy's 4 receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown, his best game in an LSU uniform. The LSU offense continues to prove that it is the best in the nation and as we saw with Lacy, continues to expand it's already lengthy list of game changers and difference makers.
Overall, it was refreshing for the Tigers to get a win that didn't come with an exorbitant amount of stress or anxiety, unlike the last three games against Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Missouri that were all offensive shootouts and came down to the very last possession. LSU scored on four of their six possessions in the first half and got into the end zone on each of their four possessions in the second, running up the score and taking care of business comfortably. Next up is Army this Saturday at home before the bye week on Halloween weekend.
