LSU is now 1-0 in SEC play and advances to 2-1 on the season after a 31-16 win over Mississippi State at Tiger Stadium.
It wasn't a quick start to the Tigers as they started down 13-0 to Mike Leach and his air raid offense. LSU head coach Brian Kelly referenced the team "shooting themselves in the foot" with three false start penalties on LSU's first two drives and the inability to convert third downs. But in the second half the offense turned it around scoring four times on seven possessions in the second half. But what went wrong to cause the slow start in the first half and how was LSU able to keep themselves in the game?
