About this ebook

Growing Up Spiritually is worth reading! It will bring you into realms of unprecedented fellowship with God and His Spirit. Whether in Africa, Australia, Asia, South America, Europe, North America or the USA, no Christian can outgrow the need for spiritual growth. If you and I think spiritual growth is only for those who just got born again yesterday, then we have missed it entirely. As long as God remains on the throne, we can’t outgrow Him in every way. Hence, the need for us to thirst and hunger for Him and to grow more and more in Christ Jesus.
Just because you are a prophet, pastor, teacher, apostle, or founder of some ministry, that does not exempt you from spiritual growth. However, if you think you have arrived at your spirituality and you don’t need to grow up, just know you are standing on dangerous ground. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:12, “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.” Each time you think you know it all and you don’t need to grow up anymore, just know that is pride at work. Then, we already know that proud people never last long in the race of life.
Get this book! You will scale greater heights of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and spiritual growth in Christ Jesus!

God once said to me, Go! I’m sending you like I sent Moses, my prophet to liberate my people from all oppressions of the devil through the preaching and teaching of the Word of Faith. Raise the foundations of many generations, prophesy over them and school them into supernatural knowledge, wisdom, and exploits; impart into them my power and wisdom; release them into their glorious and unparalleled destinies.

    Introduction

One glorious morning, I walked for about 12 kilometres, praying, and praising God. Then, suddenly, I got motivated in my spirit to write this book Growing Up Spiritually. The Holy Spirit opened my spiritual eyes to several reasons you and I need to grow up spiritually. Growing up spiritually is extremely crucial in the life of every child of God. If you can’t see the importance of it, then you need divine help. The message of spiritual growth is not for pastors only, but also for everyone in the body of Christ Jesus.

The number one thing that must happen to anyone who comes to Jesus is spiritual growth. There are certain realms of God’s glory you can’t tap into if you are spiritually immature as a child of God. Hence, growing up spiritually is not just a suggestion, but a must in this wicked world. After having visited so many churches, the most common thing I have seen in people’s lives is zeal. However, zeal without divine knowledge is worthless—it has no value at all. It takes the knowledge of God’s Word to grow up in God.

    Romans 10:1-4

Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Then, the other thing that will enhance your spiritual growth is the testing of your faith. If you are going through problems or predicaments in your life, don’t get bogged down. Instead, stand upon the Word of God with a resilient spirit of faith in Christ Jesus. Sometimes, your faith needs to be stretched for you to experience growth in all areas of your life. I believe the level to which you encounter God’s glory in your life is determined by the level to which you grow up in God, even your faith. Growing up spiritually is a choice! It doesn’t fall on your laps—instead; you go for it!

There are certain battles in life—invisible or visible—that you can’t handle or win unless you grow up in God. It is sad to say that many children of God are happy with just being saved—they don’t want to explore more of God’s Kingdom. They are just satisfied with going to church—singing a few choruses and that’s it. There is no hunger or desperation for God and His Word. God forbid! Very few Christians today can even explain to you what redemption, sanctification, and restoration mean in the Kingdom of God.

Friends, I have been in the Lord for some time now, yet I’m still yearning to grow up spiritually in every way. No one today, no matter the title they have to their name in Christendom, can outgrow the need for spiritual growth in Christ Jesus. As you keep growing up spiritually, the more God gets to pour out His glory, power, and favour upon your life. You can’t undermine the power of growing up spiritually in your life, whether in Africa, Australia, Europe, Asia, South America, or the USA. Spiritual growth will always enhance your spiritual command in the spiritual realm!

    1 Peter 2:1-3

Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking,  as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

It is time to grow up in Christ Jesus!!

    Chapter One

    The Need for Growth

    Hebrews 5:12-14

For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both
