Divine healing is real, it is not an imagination or assumption. It is the healing that comes purely from the power of the Holy Spirit in response to people’s faith in God and His Word. It is a healing that takes place because of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Yes, you and I were healed by the stripes of Christ Jesus 2,000 years ago. Our healing is already secured, accomplished, and established. Hence, you don’t have to beg to be healed—it is your covenant or birthright in Christ Jesus. Unless you see yourself healed by the revelation of the Word of God, it is very hard for you to receive your healing, which is in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 2:21-25

For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:  Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

Many years ago, I suffered from a spine and brain condition for over one year. The devil is a liar! It was so terrible that I had to drop out of school. No one understood what it was. Sad to say, I was in excruciating pain for such a long time. I came to a place in my life where I had no more hope of living. By that time, I was not born again, though I used to attend our traditional church with my family known as UCZ (United Church of Zambia). I remember many times, my mum would get me outside the house and pour water on my head to reduce or stop the pain, but to no avail. It was life-draining, threatening, oppressive and scary.

What used to happen was that I would feel a sharp pain rising from the bottom of my spine, all the way to my neck and head, and then I would feel an electrical shock in my brain area. Further, I would black out on my face and lose sight. I don’t think I can even explain it that much—all I can say is it was horrible and life-threatening. Did I get to see any medical doctor in our city? Yes, I did, in fact, several times—every day or week! They did not understand or comprehend the entire condition or situation. Their findings did not help or answer my questions. By the way, I had Cuban medical doctors from Cuba working on my case.

I lost so much weight because I stopped eating as I did not have any appetite for food. My late mum blessed her memories, never thought I would live again. Now, after doing several examinations over a long time, they discovered that the occipital region of my brain was affected. What is the occipital region of the brain? It is the visual processing area of the brain. It is responsible for visual perception, memory formation, and colour determination. Damage to the occipital lobe can include difficulty with locating objects in the environment. That was exactly what was happening with my health—it was painful indeed!

Then, amid all that painful situation, I attended a miracle crusade in my city. With no time, I gave my life to Jesus and became born again before my healing, which took place after three days. Since then, I have been walking in divine health by the grace of God. Saints, divine healing is not an illusion or theory, but real since I have experienced it. Hence, no matter your condition today, Jesus heals, and no sickness or disease can withstand His healing power. All you need is to build up your faith, and God will never disappoint your faith. Healing will not happen tomorrow; it has already happened. All you need is faith!
