Vivian Nesmith has a treasure in her earthen vessel. The Excellency and Power are of God and not of herself. She is a vessel full of the Holy Ghost and counts not herself to have apprehended all things. Rejoicing in the love of Jesus Christ, sharing with others the same power of his resurrection. Vivian lives and abides in the Presence of God. In November 2018, Volumes I and II of “The Lord Is My Everything, He Is the Air That I Breathe,” were published and this is her fourth book. People are introduced into our lives for a short period of time. Either they are there to contribute by planting seeds of wisdom or to test our faith in Christ. I’ve had the privilege to meet both types of people and I must say that they have all contributed and enhanced my growth in Jesus Christ.
Some may not realize the role they’ve played by pushing and shifting me in the right direction for Christ to do the impossible in my life. At times, I thought to have lost my mind; Christ kept it in perfect peace. As I’ve navigated my thoughts through the oracles of God; His anointing dissolved the complexity of life’s turmoil. From a nine-year-old child with no one to love to a mature woman in body and spirit. Christ has proven Himself in more ways than I can utterly say, and I thank Him from the depths of my soul.
When it appeared as if the walls of defeat were tumbling; Jesus provided a tunnel for escape. I hope that as every soul journey to find their place and calling in the vineyard; this devotional guide and journal would encourage their hearts. Always remember, that living holy takes a lot of effort, willpower, and determination. Never give up on your salvation; keep it moving and keep on praying. Maintain your faith in Jesus Christ and never take your eyes off the prize.
Apostle Paul wrote in Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Always look to Christ for a resolution to all problems. He is the provider and the author of your life’s story. As the author, He wrote your life’s plan and perfected it according to His will, power, and authority. Hence, without taking a deep breath to reside within His Presence, we falter. Unknowingly, we quietly invite imperfections that sting for a lifetime. Although, these faults may appear to overwhelm these vessels of clay; Jesus Christ can perfect all that He has created. As we continue to rehearse the phrase, The Lord is My Everything; He is the air that I breathe. Proclaims total dependence upon our Master. The One,
that has all the power to erase sins.
Often, we lose sight of the things that have greater value. Because we have become accustomed to trying to make something fit into nothing. Since Jesus is all so familiar with our mishaps, He is waiting for the opportunity to converse with you. Therefore, the heart must trust and abide by the Book of the Law; treasuring every Word and applying the precepts daily. Know that, Righteousness will support growth. But, our Faith will give us the tools for total submission. We as Saints look to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith and for His wisdom to do what is pleasing unto Him. Although we are called and chosen to share in the gospel it is our duty to mimic the Walk of Jesus Christ and learn of His glory and honor.
The love and kindness that he so willingly portrayed on behalf of a dying world are evidence that we are more than simple creatures. He lovingly breaths upon the frailty of His people and pleads for all to return to Him. God Bless you, look up and live in Jesus Name.
Keeping It Simple and Sweet

The entrance of thy words giveth light;
it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Defeat Fear
The very thought of shifting from complacency means change and change brings fear and intimidation. Each has marked its territory in the hearts of those that lack the courage to move forward in pursuing greater things in Christ. For the gift of temporal blessings makes it easier to acquaint ourselves with fear, failure, and intimidation.
Some has forgotten that the conformity of their thinking has aligned itself with past experiences of failure and the lessons learned. Unfortunately, many are afraid to move. They’re frantically intimidated by unknown factors beyond what they cannot envision. The strongholds of Fear
have hampered their Spiritual Success.
As we look around at our current position, we are quite familiar with its surroundings. Everything is customarily suitable, and we dare not to launch out too far deep into unknown waters. So, we complacently walk around with the shelved gifts that God has allowed us to possess.
Our calling is a summons from God to go higher into the realm of holiness with him. The covenant of God defeats Fear
and warrants assurance in Him. Continue to look-up to the author and finisher of your faith. Divine revelations encourage us to fear not; but, continue to move forward. As workmen, we trust and believe that he can strengthen our hands for the work in ministry. Christ doesn’t want us to stagger in our faith. All Christians must flourish as becoming mature in Christ and ready to publish the gospel of Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul reminds us in (Philippians 3:14) to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Gain Confidence in God
Proverbs 3:26; Hebrew 3:6
The very thought of shifting to another level in God brings a tremendous amount of fear that formulates a knot within the gut of your belly. It seems that every known discouraging word appears within the forefront of the mind. Whether asleep or awakened, each phrase has embedded itself deep within the cognitive thinking pattern; immobilizing our ability to comprehend and produce effectively for the Kingdom of God.
The enemy uses fear as a translucent weapon that cannot be visualized. Continuously, it attacks the heart and mind because these areas are the communicating quarters that are used to engage in conversation with The Father. If the enemy is aware that he can attack these areas by any means necessary; then he will have the power to swerve your thinking to the situation at hand and that situation is fear.
As Servants of God, we haven’t quite learned the biblical techniques given to increase confidence. King Solomon graciously reminds us in Proverbs 3:26 that The LORD will be our confidence and he will keep our feet from being taken. The preliminary strategy is to have faith in Jesus Christ and he will keep our feet from becoming ensnared by the enemy. Christ preserves our integrity, righteousness and will not allow us to be apprehended.
A willing vessel can gain its confidence by remaining connected to the nourishing factors attained within the precepts of God’s Word. Although, the enemy will continue to use carnal weapons affiliated with fear to traumatize the heart of God’s people. Therefore, Christians will constantly experience spiritual warfare.
On the contrary, neither of these factors should continue to hinder our abilities to perform. Hebrew 3:6 says - But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Christ reigns in Supremacy over his Church; we are adopted into his house and must uphold strong confidence in Him. When God summons his sheep to the pastures, all must be willing and obedient to follow. Firmly rejoice in confidence; Christ will forever continue to protect his people from desolation.
Trust God with Your
Spiritual Endeavors
Genesis 39:3; Deuteronomy 29:9
The Lord knows the value of the good that his people possess within themselves and has the power to qualify them by filling their thoughts and mind with pearls of wisdom. Joseph’s obedience to the commandments of God caused him to prosper. Although, he was dwelling in a strange land that served strange gods; Joseph refused to disobey the God of his father. Therefore, his obedience to righteousness flourished. The divine presence of God will continuously
