Q From a celebrity singer to a humble pastor, your life story is sewn together with the thread of God’s wonder. What prompted the change in career?
I believe that true success in life equals obedience to God and His Word. My experience is that the more I immediately obey God when He leads me in a direction or instructs me to do something, the clearer His voice becomes in my life. The change in my career was prompted by a prophetic word from God that I heard over a 6-month period from eight different sources. Each time I heard it I sensed two things, that I needed to shift from secular to Christian music, and that it would be for a global audience.
