Hopefully, these pages will serve as a source of help and inspiration to those with a desire to grow. We live in challenging times that require a dependence on God’s Word. Everyday we should want to grow and better serve others. May this book serve as an inspiration to put hand to the plow to serve this present age!

And from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. (II Timothy 3:15)

    Introduction

When I was a young girl growing up I have always known that I had a special calling on my life and was chosen by God. From a child I have had a passion and love for doing the will of God and had a special relationship with Him through Jesus Christ my Savior and Lord. Through out my life I have pursued a closer and intimate relationship with the Lord. My desire is to please Him and to walk in His purpose and plan to fulfill my destiny that He has for me. My parents taught me the Word of God and introduced me to Jesus at a very early age. I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was five years old but was not allowed to be baptized before I was 12 years old. My Dad and Mom were very protected of me when I was growing up and made sure that I understood that I was created for God and for His good pleasure. I tried very hard to fit in with others and even when they were doing things that was not right but I did not fit the pattern and was excluded from the group.

I was often told that I was gifted because of the anointing that God had released upon my life by my Mom. What seemed to be very hard for other people to do was easy for me. My Mom would tell me when I was a young girl that because I was anointed by God what I did was easy because I was in the flow of God’s will and plan for my life. It was easy and comfortable for me to teach the Word of God to others even as a teenager and lead them to salvation in Jesus Christ because the Holy Spirit was leading me in what to say, how to say it, and when to say it. The Holy Spirit has always been my primary teacher all of my life even though I have set under the teaching of many great and anointed men and women of God in my continued education. In my Christian walk with the Lord I have learned that when you seek God for guidance and direction He will lead you in the path of righteousness to fulfill His plan and purpose for your life. In my life journey it has not been an easy journey but with God on my side and the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of me I have come this far by faith in God through Jesus Christ. Because of the anointing that God has released on my life I am grateful that I am able to impact the lives of people in a positive way in whom God allow to cross my path on my Christian journey. Christ in me is the hope of glory. I know that it is not my ability or my IQ or good looks that make me able to do what I do in the work of the Lord but it is the anointing of God that has made and is continuing to make a great difference in my life. I no longer run from being chosen by God for such a time as this to make an impact on the entire world as He uses me for His glory and to edify the Body of Christ. The anointing on my life removes burdens and destroys the yoke of every work of darkness every where that I go. What the devil means for evil for me God turns it around and makes it work out for my good and for His glory. I am anointed for success because God has chosen me and His Divine favor is resting on my life to carry out His will in my walk with Him and others on this Christian journey. Every set back in my life was a set up for God to perform a miracle and for Him to show Himself strong in my behalf.

What does the Word of God say about the anointing? Right before Jesus was crucified on the cross He talked to His disciple and told them that the comforter, which is the Holy Spirit , whom the Father would send in His Name, would teach them all things, and bring all things to their remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 16:13). The comforter, the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity through unction, or anointing will empower you to succeed. The Holy Spirit is a person and the anointing is His personality. God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is in us.

The word anointing come from the Greek word Charisma meaning a smearing on, overshadows, or paints over. The anointing is the power of the Holy Spirit rather than your own ability. When the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit is released from the Lord on your natural abilities you began to operate in the supernatural power of God. What you could not do in your own natural abilities, you now can do because of the Holy Spirit anointing you with God’s supernatural power. It takes faith and courage to trust God for the supernatural power.

The supernatural power comes from the Holy Spirit residing in you, making available to you every promise that God has promised in His Word. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. (Ephesians 3:20).

When you are anointed to do an assignment you will get results and with excellence because of the power of the Holy Spirit working inside of you and working through you mightily. The anointing of the Holy Spirit produce victory at all times in our daily lives. The anointing is the burden removing, yoke destroying power of God through the Holy Spirit. Those of us who operate in the anointing of Jesus understand the nature of the anointing and walk in the supernatural power of God and have come to the point of genuine humility. We depend on the Lord and not on our natural ability.

What some people often time call humble is actually pride. When you are prideful, you do what you want to do, the way you want to do it, and when you want to do it. You live as if you are totally independent of God’s authority and His ways of instruction in His written Word. However, humility is totally depending on God and being obedient to God in what ever He instructs you to do in His written Word. When you operate in the spirit of humility you are under God’s authority and power and will not move until He tells you to do so. Being humble is being able to carry out our Jesus’ command with confidence, but yet at the same time, yielding to the authority of another.

When children are born they depend on their parents and do not have their own plans, and ideas. They depend on the parents for direction and guidance until they get older and then they develop their own plans, and ideas and often times argue and rebel against their parents. Well that is what happens to Christians who become prideful and want to do things their own way they argue and rebel against God and His written Word. They know what the Word of God says in any given situation but they chose to ignore it and deny the Word of God and do their own thing.

God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble (James 4:6). Don’t confuse being quiet with being humble because a quiet person is not necessarily a humble person. Someone can be quiet and remain silent but yet rebellious, and yet self center and selfish. That is why it is essential to have the Spirit of discernment operating in us at all times. Beloved, believe not every spirit but try the spirits whether they are of God, for many false prophets are gone out into the world (1St John 4:1). God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth, His Word is truth. God’s Word tells us to clothes ourselves with humility.

To be humble means to be submissive to the will and plan of God for our lives but yet walk in confidence of whom you are in Christ Jesus our Lord. Confidence is not pride it is resting and walking by faith in the promises that God has made to us through His Son Jesus Christ. A prideful person has a conceited belief to be superior over others and over the written Word of God following their own way of doing things. He or she exalts their plans, programs and ways of doing things above God’s Word and God’s plan. When you do things your way no matter how many people you may hurt it is out of a selfish motive and out of the spirit of pride not humility. When anyone put aside God’s plan and design for their life and take up their own plan, they subsequently, move from humility to pride. They exchange absolute victory in the anointing of God to guaranteed failure in their own power because of pride. If they continue to live in this way, they will ultimately fall from favor to failure. Proverbs 18:22 says Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honor is humility. Pride, rebellion, and exalting your own thoughts and opinion, and feeling above God’s Word will take you from favor to failure.

Satan is a prime example of from favor to failure. He was the anointed Cherub, highly favored by God, who allowed pride to bring him to disaster. Isaiah 14:12-15 tells us how Satan wanted to exalt himself above God and said I will rather than God will" which brought him down to the pit of hell along with all the fallen angels that followed him.

James 4:10 says Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up. In other words if you would obey God and submit to His will and plan for your life they will take you up to great things. 1st Peter 5:6 says Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.
