About this ebook

I was led to write, "How to Kill The Giant In Your Life," because God know that our life is like that of David, facing the giant, (the enemy in our daily walk. We are heirs in the Kingdom of God, because we are His children. God has given us authority, but we refuse to use it, yet we pray for things or situations that God has given us the authority to handle or change ourselves. We live by faith and not by sight.
If we have the faith to believe and move our faith out of "Neutral" and put it in "Drive," we can have the same victory God gave David.

In Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue which rises against you in judgement, "you shall condemn." Did God say he will condemn or you shall condemn. Matthew 18:17, "Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Did God say, He will bind or loose or did He say whatever you bind or you loose?

I think being a Teacher is one of the greatest gifts of all. In order to understand God, we first must know who God is and in order to know who God is, we first must take the time to study the Word. The Book of Genesis teaches about God's Royalty Family, His Creation & His Kindgom. We pray a simple prayer, because God deals with the heart and God still hear our prayers. We can pray with a sincere heart and cry out to God and He still rescues us and answers us. Jeremiah 33:3, "Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

As we grow spiritually, our prayer life changes the same way as we mature in our walk with Christ. We drank milk as babes and when the times comes, we are no longer drinking milk, but we began to eat meat. This is the same process for our spiritual growth, because we are no longer babes in Christ. When we become mature Christians, we began to pray scriptural prayers, which are more effective, but we have to abide in the Word of God. Sometimes we have to wait on our prayers to be answered, because God is a timely God. He is eternal and our time is not His time. Sometimes God moves swiftly and He hears the cry of the righteous. James 5:16, "The effectual prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

I remembered when I first come to Christ, I did not understand some of the Biblical terminology of the Word, or it's meaning, and I knew there was a lot to learn. Yet, in my learning there were times I became frustrated, because I did not understand the Bible. The course, English during my adolescent years in school seem to be the hardest Language to learn, because of conjunctions, pronouns, verbs, adverbs and adjectives and when I stated reading the Bible, I thought, "Oh my God, how do you pronounce the names and what do these parables mean?" I found out that if you ask God for understanding of His Word, He will give you understanding, because it is His will for us to know the will of God and not to walk in ignorance of His Word.

This book is about learning how to fight the enemy, how to use God's weapon and knowing the weapons of God. It is also about learning as you grow spiritually. 2 Corinthians 10:4, "For the weapons (God's Word) of our warfare (war against the enemy -satan) are not carnal (worldly or earthly), but mightly through the pulling down of strongholds (strong defensive structure of protection). We are fighting against things that cannot be seen by the naked or natural eyes. Have you ever seen someone who, "Out of the blues" (happened suddenly), attack you mentally or physically and there was actually, no logical reason for this strange behavior? Well, it was not the person in the natural that attacked you, but the enemy that used this person. Read 2 Corinthians 10:4 again to find out who the enemy is. This is what needs to be taught in churches so that Christians can become Prayer Warriors.

I pray that this book will inspire those who are seeking God to learn and know th

I was born in Scotland County and was raised with eleven children, nine biological. My mother loved children, people, and she never looked at a person’s race, creed, or color. I received two degrees, both in Raleigh, North Carolina. I received an AAS degree at King’s Community College and a BS degree at Saint Augustine’s College. I am presently employed with a wonderful company that works with at-risk youths, which is actually a ministry for me. I have worked in this field for many years. I am presently working on becoming an entrepreneur, continuously working with people that are labeled with mental disability, and making preparations to get into an MBA program to get my master’s in health services.

    About the Author

Carolyne English is a native of Scotland County. I attended public schools in both Harnett and Wake County. I am a graduate of Kings Community College with an A.A.S. Degree and a graduate of Saint Augustine’s College with a B.S. Degree, both colleges are located in Raleigh, North Carolina. I am the eight of nine biological children by my deceased mom, Ella Mae Moore, who raised eleven children. My background work experience has been centered in the area of structural programs. I worked in the women prison system for almost six years, as a Correctional Officer, sometimes as an Acting Sergeant, Re-Educational Program as a Program Counselor and in a Transitional Housing Program as a Lead Residential Manager, interacting and counseling with post incarcerated women, homeless women, battered women, women with addictions and adolescents that were court ordered to be in structural programs.

I was led to write, How To Kill The Giant In Your Life, because God know that we are all like the Biblical David, facing the giant (the enemy) in our daily walk. We are heirs in the Kingdom of God, because we are His children. If we have the faith to believe and move our faith out of Neutral and put it in Drive, we can all be victorious in the Lord. I was trying to find the right title for this particular book and I thought I had a name, but I heard the Holy Spirit when He gave me this particular title, How To Kill The Giant In Your Life. I want to share with you one of the incidents, concerning my experience with the Holy Spirit. One day the Holy Spirit warned me not to eat this particular dessert one morning; yes a.m. and I ate it anyway. You know how you dismiss things from your mind, thinking, okay, my subconscious mind is telling me not to eat anymore sweets, because I know I have a problem with sweets, but you dismiss what your hear. Anyway, I ate this pasty and after I took two (2) bites, I had to end up visiting my dentist. Prior to this time, I dreamt I was eating sweets on top of sweets and a tooth fell out of my mouth. I knew it was a warning from God, because I had prayed to God prior to this time to be delivered from processed sweets, cakes, cookies, pies and candies.

My mom and I have spent a lot of money in my mouth with caps and root canals, salvaging my teeth. You would think, I would have known better, but because of my disobedient, I had to pay the price. When you pray for something, you need to know that your prayer will be answer, especially if your prayer is in the will of God and it is the will of God for us to eat healthy. Family members are aware of my taste for sweets, but I hid this craving of sweets in my former relationships for many years. God is gradually taking this taste out of my mouth. I just wanted to share that with you. When we pray and speak the Word of God, we must realize life and death is in the power of the tongue.

In Isaiah 54:17, No weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue which rises against you in judgement, you shall condemn. Did God say He will condemn or you shall condemn. Matthew 18:18, Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Did God say He will bind or loose or did He say whatever you bind or you loose?

I thought the language, English was hard, but when I picked up the Bible, I thought, Oh, my goodness. I had no understanding of the Word, but when you continue to seek God and ask for understanding, He will give you understanding.

I want to share with you some of the biblical terminology and it’s meaning, especially to Christians who are still a babe in Christ. We, as Christians can be in the Word for many years, but yet we lack knowledge, because we are under the leadership of those who only preach what we want to hear; receiving stuff, (materialistic values) and we do not grow spiritually. We do not have to continue to hear about prosperity, but we need to know how to reach lost souls and lead them to Christ so that they can receive Salvation. We need to know, How do we fight the enemy? How do we use God’s weapon? What is God’s weapon? It is not about receiving stuff or material things, but it is about being holy, being righteous and doing right by each other. What about hope, our children future or praying for one another? 2 Corinthians 10:4, "For the weapons (God’s Word) of our warfare (war against an enemy-satan) are not carnal (worldly or earthly), but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (strong defensive structure of protection). We are fighting against things that cannot be seen by the naked or natural eyes. This is what needs to be taught in church so that Christians can become Prayer Warriors.

I hope this book will inspire those who are seeking God to learn and know that the Word of God is our source & our resource. We must hold on to it for dear life and know that God is the Father of Truth. Isaiah 55:11 "So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but is shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. This is the main reason we should use scriptural quotes in our prayers, because we are speaking life over our situation & our circumstances. There’s power in the Word and all we need is
