    WOULD YOU LEAVE A REVIEW?

This is the prequel you have been waiting for.  If you have read the Diary of a Piglin Book 7 to Book 12 then you have heard of Krop, D’zort, D’tort and D’vart and have been introduced to the world of the Nether Dragons.  This diary can be enjoyed even without reading the Diary of a Piglin but to have a better idea of the back story, you can read Diary of a Piglin Book 7.

    Day 1

A diary? What a silly idea. It’s the lamest thing. Why would I write about my life? It’s just… counterproductive and again; LAME!

Anyway, my boss D’tort, told me I should give it a go. He says writing about our lives is important so we can keep track of changes and make improvements towards a better self, yadda yadda. Honestly, it’s just a bunch of nonsense to me. I don’t even know if anyone is ever going to read this thing apart from me, but I’ll give it a shot.

So, let me introduce myself before I give up on this whole diary thing. My name is D’zort, and I am a Nether Dragon. Have you ever seen a Nether Dragon before? If not, let me tell you what I look like. First of all, I am a giant dragon. I have fireproof red feathers and I am strong. Is that good enough of a description for you?

I bet you are wondering how I’m writing this diary, right. Well, with my paw, of course. Nether Dragons can write too, believe it or not. It’s not a feature exclusive to humans or villagers. In fact, most creatures can write but some do only in their own languages.

I digress. Back to the subject at hand, I have decided to start writing about my life and about the lives of other Nether Dragons who live with me in the Nether. Have you ever heard about the Nether? It’s a dimension far from the Overworld, filled with lava and Netherrack. Oh boy, there’s too much Netherrack in here. Nether Dragons roam freely in this land, and we are the kings of this realm.

Under the guidance of our leader D’tort, the Original Dragon, the Nether Dragon race is prospering through generations. I guess D’tort is over a thousand years old, but he never says his real age. I suppose it’s rude to ask too.

I am the second in charge here. I am D’tort’s trusted ally and his assistant in all Nether Dragon related matters. Being the second in charge isn’t easy, I tell you. However, I really like this job, being able to boss dragons around, giving orders and commands. It’s the perfect job for me.

Would you like to hear the story of how I came to be the second in charge? It’s quite awesome, actually. Wait, who am I talking to? I’m just writing in my diary. Feels like I am talking to myself. Is this awkward?

I’ll tell the story anyway. There was a battle between Nether Dragons because some of us wanted to create a separate group and rule the Overworld. D’tort ordered the other group to cease any attempts to take over the dimension above as it would start a war with the human race.

Humans are the strongest creatures in the world of Minecraft perhaps even stronger than Nether Dragons. D’tort never liked them. He says humans are unpredictable and reckless, therefore he never allowed us to go to the Overworld. He wanted to avoid going to war with them since it could pose a major threat to our race.

I helped D’tort get rid of the dragons who opposed D’tort, thus earning the title of second in charge. D’tort has trusted me with the most important tasks ever since. He says that I will be the leader of the Nether Dragons one day, after he perishes and returns to ashes.

Can you imagine that? Me, the leader of the Nether Dragons? That would be a dream come true. Oh, I digress again. I should stop daydreaming. But if I were the leader, things would change for sure. For starters, I would not be as lenient and kind as D’tort. I would show those losers how to properly do their jobs. There are too many lazy Nether Dragons around here. Some of them waste their entire day doing absolutely nothing. I can guarantee you that those pesky dragons would be no more. I would make them work hard.

Now, back to my daily life…

Despite being the second dragon in the succession line, my routine is quite boring. Most of the time, D’tort tells me to go look for Nether Dragons who might be lost in some parts of the Nether, assisting them in their return or even helping them with their quests.

The quests usually revolve around retrieving food or materials for our headquarters in the Nether Farlands. D’tort built the headquarters many centuries ago, and it’s far from the other biomes so that humans won’t find us easily. Despite having an HQ, most Nether Dragons roam freely and live in other parts of the Nether. We are rulers of this land after all. We fear nothing.

Wait, I got to go now. D’tort is calling me. I bet he has another request to make. I must go because that’s what an assistant does. I shall write more once I get back to my hut.

    Day 2

D’tort called me because he had a new mission for me. I went to the Fire Palace, the home of our leader and where many Nether Dragons live. The Fire Palace, unlike its name, was not made out of fire. In fact, it was a Netherrack mountain which D’tort shaped into a palace through years of hard work and dedication.

Greetings D’zort, thanks for coming. The Nether Dragon leader D’tort said.

    Hey boss, what’s up?

I have a new mission for you and it’s an important one.

    Really, what is it?

This time you must help one of our fellow Nether Dragons in her mission. She must carry a precious load back to a Soulsand Biome at coordinates X=30, Y=60, Z=2500. This is a precious object – a Diamond Chestplate. It will be traded for our monthly food supply. The Nether Dragons of the south are offering us a good discount so we should take the offer.

Why should I escort her though?

D’leia is the Nether Dragon who will be conducting the trade on our behalf. D’tort said.

D’leia? Wait, why did you choose D’leia for the job? I could have done this. I am good at trading. I said.

D’leia is the best trader we have. She always get the best discounts. Do not underestimate her skills, D’zort.

I know, but I am the second in charge not D’leia. She is just a big snob. That’s what she is. I said.

You do love talking about me, don’t you? D’leia entered the room right behind me.

Oh great, here she is. I complained.

Come on D’zort, I know you are a loyal dragon to our leader, but you don’t have to be afraid of me. I am not here to take over your position. D’leia joked. Are you afraid of losing your precious job?

No, it’s not like that. I find you annoying. I tried to change the subject. Secretly, I was afraid of losing my job. D’leia was a loyal Nether Dragon. She would always help and assist our leader with all his missions. I figured she could take my job one day, so I had to keep a close eye on her…

Hahaha. Don’t worry; I am here to transport the chest plate to the traders and then return. That’s all. I’m just asking for your help. D’leia asked.

Why do you need my help anyway since you are so good at everything? Can’t you just take the chest plate on your own? I wondered.

"Of course I can. You know what I
