The book reinforces the bizarre rigid stereotypes that only girls like and do certain things and only boys like and do others such that enjoying toys, doing activities, and exhibiting traits that span those stereotypes means you are not a girl or boy. Boys and girls can like, do, and act however they like and still be boys and girls; it is any remaining stereotypes that need to change, not their genders/sexes.

My class thinks.... It tells you not to hide your true self
It is kind of sweet and the words sound sweet.
We liked the rhyming part of the book. The message was good because you can like both boy and girl things..
