Diary of a Piglin Book 10 - Mark Mulle
Day 1
What a wild adventure we went through freeing The End from the evil Ender Dragon and giving them a new leader, D’vart, while also restoring the Nether Dragon race by giving Krop the leadership. It is almost hard to believe that it all happened in a matter of three months, my diary.
D’zort, also known as Krop, was now a Nether Dragon Leader. The Dragon who holds the title of the leader is called The One
and has the ability to spawn other Nether Dragons, thus providing an opportunity for the race to be revived.
Before parting ways, D’zort made sure to escort us all out of The End and back to the Overworld. He was now our ‘loyal steed’, since D’vart could no longer carry us on his back. D’vart had a new purpose now even though he did not agree to it – he had to protect The End dimension as the new Ender Dragon.
We crossed The End portal and returned to the home of humans; the Overworld.
Here we are again, my friends.
D’zort said. The Overworld. The place I used to hate and despise. Now I cannot help but think of how unfair I was towards the people and Piglins who offered to help me and my fellow Nether Dragons.
Krop said.
Wow, it doesn’t even sound like the same Krop from a month ago
Johansson joked. Krop, are you all right?
I am trying to be apologetic here, you silly human!
Krop slipped off for a second.
Ah, there he is the good ol’ Krop that we all know and love.
Johansson said. Speaking of which is it alright if we keep calling you Krop? Because I am not really fond of your original Nether Dragon name, D’zort. No offense.
Hmpf. Offense not taken.
Krop replied. I would rather be called D’zort, by my fellow Nether Dragons but since none of you are Nether Dragons, and after everything you have done for me I suppose you have earned the right to keep calling me by my nickname. It’s the least I can do, after all. So go ahead.
Good. I didn’t have any intentions to call you differently, anyway.
Johansson laughed.
You…
Krop glared at Johansson.
I must say it was a wild ride.
I said. I honestly didn’t think we would make so much progress so quickly. I mean, helping the Nether Dragons was obviously our main goal, and I was not going to give up until we had made some decent progress. But taking down D’tort went much faster than I thought.
Tell me about it.
Beatriz replied. I am the one who came up with the plan to defeat him, and I wasn’t expecting him to go down like that. In fact, I didn’t see that coming – D’tort attacking the Slenderman? That was totally out of the blue.
It was, and we are lucky it happened.
Peter said. I am sure D’vart could have handled it by himself, because he was doing a great job, but the Slenderman made things so much easier for all of us. It was a breeze.
It was a breeze after the plan was in motion. But it was not easy before all that.
Johansson replied. I for one am thankful for the outcome of the fierce battle between the Dragons. Seeing Krop like this, who was nothing but a simple Hoglin a few days ago, is heartwarming.
Hey, don’t make fun of my Hoglin form.
Krop replied.
Wait, did you actually like being a Hoglin?
Johansson asked, impressed.
No… But…
Krop didn’t know how to explain it. Being a Hoglin, when you were once a Nether Dragon, is humiliating. Not being able to fly, not being able to protect the ones you care about. It was a limiting experience. However, taking the form of a different creature taught me several lessons. It taught me the lessons of humility and patience. I will take the lessons I learned with me for the rest of my life. I want to apply everything I learned to be a good leader. I want my fellow Nether Dragons to learn what it is like to go through a bad experience and turn it into something good.
Well said, Krop.
I clapped. It’s a beautiful way of seeing it. I am glad you were able to make something good out of it.
I wasn’t exactly the most patient, that's for sure, especially when it came down to dealing with humans, who I thought were the real enemies. But once I learned of D’tort’s betrayal and how humans were fooled into fighting Nether Dragons for His own benefit, it showed me how unfair I was being.
Krop replied.
Sure thing, don’t worry about it, Krop. I suppose we all learned our lesson.
Johansson replied. I just feel sorry for what happened between you and your human friend, Pierson. I hope he found some comfort in his last days.
Yes, Pierson, I am sure he did.
Krop replied. Being as honorable and brave as he was, I am sure he did. Now, I suppose this is where we part ways.
Yeah, we are home.
Johansson replied. But we are not far. The Nether is just a Portal away. Calvin and Peter have already paid us a few visits, but now we will be expecting you and the Nether Dragons to do the same.
Are you sure it’s safe for that? Aren’t humans scared after what happened between the Ender Dragon and us?
Krop wondered.
Everything will be explained to them.
Beatriz reassured him. I know Minerland will be more than glad to form an alliance with Nether Dragons. We will also make sure to put a rule in place forbidding any humans to hunt Nether Dragons, like what happened in the past. It’s the dawn of a new era for all creatures in the Overworld and the Nether – an era of peace.
Well said, honey.
Johansson replied.
Sounds wonderful. I cannot wait to see that day.
Krop replied. Until then, I should take these Piglins back to their home – our home: the Nether. Farewell, humans. I am sure we will see each other again in the future. Again, thank you for your bravery and your dedication to the cause.
It has been our pleasure.
Beatriz replied. Calvin, Peter, take care. Come see us when you have the time.
Thank you, Beatriz and Johansson. Take care, you two.
Peter said. We are also expecting your visit one of these days.
Indeed. You know where to find us.
I winked at them.
Krop, took off and flew away. We watched as Johansson and Beatriz made their way towards Minerland. Krop flew through the gigantic Nether Portal and we were back home again.
Day 2
Back in the Nether, Krop flew us to Crimson City in a flash. Once there, we could see Piglins running in the streets, fleeing in terror because of a flying Dragon.
Hehe. Déjà-vu.
I said.
Déjà what?
Peter asked.
I’m pretty sure I have already seen this scene before. Piglins fleeing in horror and scared of the Nether Dragon. I suppose it is going to take a while before we change Piglin’s mentality towards Nether Dragons.
It is a natural behavior; you cannot blame them.
Krop said, flying over town. Nether Dragons have been absent from the Nether for many centuries. They predate all the current updates, including the updates that brought Piglins to life.
Yeah, I almost forgot how old Nether Dragons are.
Peter said.
We are not old, dummy. We are ancient.
Krop corrected him. Anyway, we’ve arrived.
Krop landed in front of the police station. The police officers all left the precinct and came to see us. Some of them didn’t want to get any closer, as they didn’t know how to react towards the giant red Dragon before them.
Detectives Peter and Calvin, you are back.
Officer Kelly said.
Hello guys, I missed you all.
I said.
Me too,
Peter replied. We hopped off of Krop’s back.
Do not worry, guys. There is nothing to fear. Nether Dragons are kind and friendly. Come closer, meet Krop. He is the new leader of the Nether Dragons.
Are you sure it’s safe, Detective?
Officer Zimmer asked.
Yes. Now come and talk to him.
Officers Zimmer and Tenpen got closer, and Krop emitted a deafening roar. The two Piglin Officers almost fell on their butts out of fear.
Hahahaha. I was just joking.
Krop said.
Hehehe. Krop has a twisted sense of humor. Don’t mind him.
I replied.
No, seriously, I am not here to hurt anyone.
Krop reassured them. Jokes aside, it’s nice to meet you all.
Hahaha. Nice to meet you, Nether Dragon. Krop, is that right?
Officer Sal asked.
"Yes. I am pleased to meet the colleagues
