5 अप्रैल 2023 से 15 मई 2023 तक संपूर्ण रामचरितमानस के पाठ का सौभाग्य प्राप्त हुआ। इस आयोजन से जहॉं एक ओर रामचरितमानस के अध्ययन का अवसर मिला, वहीं रामचरितमानस के विविध प्रसंगों को चौपाइयों और दोहों में लिखने का मनोभाव बना। पात्रों का चित्रण कुंडलियों के माध्यम से हुआ। इस तरह रामचरितमानस की कथा को सरल, सरस और लघु रूप में लिखना संभव हो सका। रामकथा का यही संक्षिप्त रूप पाठकों की सेवा में सादर समर्पित है।

सरस रामकथा

रामकथा भारत का प्राण है। हजारों वर्षों से भगवान राम का व्यक्तित्व और चरित्र समस्त मानवता को मार्गदर्शन दे रहा है। इन्हीं प्रेरक प्रसंगों की छत्रछाया में हम सब ने जीवन के पाठ पढ़े हैं। रामकथा में स्वयं ही इतना सुंदर उतार-चढ़ाव है कि पाठक मुग्ध हो जाते हैं। फिर तुलसीदास जी की प्राणवान देखनी को तो जितना भी नमन किया जाए कम है। हनुमान प्रसाद पोद्दार जी की भक्ति भावना सब प्रकार से बारंबार नमन के योग्य है।

भगवान राम का जन्म अलौकिक है। मनु और शतरूपा को वरदान देकर दशरथ और कौशल्या के पुत्र के रूप में भगवान जन्मे, यह मनुष्यता का सौभाग्य रहा। कौशल्या और दशरथ भगवान के बाल-रूप की उपासना चाहते थे। उन्हें चतुर्भुज विश्वरूप के स्थान पर अपने ऑंगन में खेलते हुए बालक राम अधिक प्रिय थे। इसीलिए तुलसीदास जी ने भगवान के बाल स्वरूप की वंदना की है :-

मंगल भवन अमंगल हारी। द्रवहु सो दसरथ अजिर बिहारी।।

दशरथ के ऑंगन में भगवान राम खेलते हुए नजर आऍं और कौशल्या उन्हें गोद में लेकर अतिशय प्रसन्नता का सुख प्राप्त करें, यही तो वरदान का मूल भाव था। सब प्रकार से अस्त्र-शस्त्रों में
