    Kansas City Steak Strips

    Ingredients:

    1 lb. steak strips

    1 tbsp olive oil

    1 cup white rice

    14.5 oz beef broth

    12 oz chili sauce

    14.5 oz French cut green beans

    Directions:

    Prepare rice according to directions

    Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute the meat over medium heat with the oil until the meat is cooked through

    Add the beef broth and chili sauce to the skillet and bring to a boil

    Drain the green beans and add to the skillet

    Serve the meat mixture warm over the prepared rice

    Kansas City Steak Soup

    Ingredients:

    1 pound round steak, chopped

    1 cup margarine

    1 cup all-purpose flour

    1/2 gallon water

    1/4 tbsp. ground black pepper

    1 large carrot, diced

    1 onion, chopped 

    1 stalk celery, diced 

    1 (16 oz.) package frozen mixed vegetables

    16 oz. stewed tomatoes

    12 cubes beef bouillon

    2 tbsps. margarine

    Directions:

    Make a roux by melting the butter or margarine, then stirring in the flour. Brown gently.

    Gradually add 2 cups of the water to the roux and stir until smooth.

    Add the remaining water, the carrot, onion, celery, frozen vegetables, canned tomatoes, and beef base granules.

    In a skillet saute the steak in 2 tbsps. butter or margarine until browned.

    Drain off all the grease.

    Add the browned steak to the soup and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 1 1/2 hours or until the vegetables are tender.

    Season to taste with freshly ground black pepper. Once cooked this soup may be frozen for later use.

    Kansas City Skillet Steak

    Ingredients:

    1 1/2 to 2 lb. steak, cut into thin slices

    4 tbsp. oil

    1 lg. onion, chopped

    1 green pepper, chopped

    1 (15 oz.) can whole tomatoes, broken up

    3 tbsp. flour

    1 1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

    2 tbsp. instant beef bouillon or

    2 env. beef broth

    2 cup hot water

    1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced

    Cooked rice or flat noodles for serving

    Directions:

    In large covered skillet, heat 2 tbsps. oil.

    Brown steak; remove and set aside.

    Add 2 tbsps. oil.

    Saute onion, peppers, and mushrooms until tender.

    Add flour and brown lightly.

    Add water, tomatoes, bouillon, and Worcestershire sauce.

    Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer.

    Add meat; cover and cook 45 to 60 minutes, stirring often.

    Serve over hot rice or flat noodles.

    Kansas City Peppercorn Strip Steak

    Ingredients:

    2 strip steaks

    2 tbsp. kosher salt

    2 tbsp. vegetable oil

    1/4 tsp. fresh ground black peppercorns

    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper or red pepper

    1/4 tsp. garlic powder

    1/4 tsp. onion powder

    4 tbsp. salted
