Hi! I’m Jo. I write character-driven steamy romance. My stories tend to come in serials because I love complications. I find nothing’s spicier than characters taking a life of their own.So prepare for adventurous scenarios, very sophisticated friendships, dangerous games, power plays, leading ladies, sexy tricksters, and handsome princes in distress. I like dark alpha males as well as vulnerable cuties. And my female characters tend to come with a rebel streak or a temper. Sue me.You can read stories out of order if you’re just here for a one-night stand. Or you can climb in for the entire ride, thrills, emotions and all. That’s up to you.Firsts in series will generally be free. When a story arc is done, bundles will ensue, and they will read like novels, with a Happily Ever After, or at least a Happy For Now. Stay tuned!

This story is part of an erotic romance series, so it is loaded with adult content, sexy scenes, crude words, and even the occasional swear word. If all of this is upsetting to you, you don’t have to read it. All characters involved in any adult scene in this work of fiction are far over 18 and even when things get twisty, consent is exchanged.

    Sealed with a Sigh

Saying I’d been focused on studying in the huge leather couch in our flat would have been an outright lie. Yes, I was sprawled there with my skirts hiked up on my thighs in a most unladylike fashion, big wool socks over my fancy winter pantyhose, with my feet propped up on the coffee table and a steaming cup of tea nearby. Yes, I had a pencil stuck in my unruly hair and an actual book in my lap. My glasses were slowly sliding down my nose and from the outside, I probably looked like I was fighting to concentrate on obscure math theorems.

But really, it was mostly because I was a master at hiding the truth.

First of all, I was way too tired to be reading anything, much less to be thinking clearly. And second, Adam was having one of his numerous phone calls with lawyers in the same room, which made it impossible to mind anything else.

He was trying to find someone who would take our case. He’d been trying all week to get someone to really listen, ever since we’d come back home with Allie, Sean’s teenage sister, whom we’d rescued from her abusive household. He was just asking for help and advice, but nobody was listening.

Now with each phone call he got to the point as quickly as he could, and mentioned right away whom he wanted to attack, because it spared him and the lawyers a lot of time. Nobody wanted that case. When he told them the name of the man we were up against, they couldn’t drop that hot potato quickly enough.

And so Adam paced the living room, looking increasingly like a tiger in a cage. He had all the power and grace of a great feline, too. I could look at him for hours. Right now in the city sky outside the flat, gorgeous evening sunbeams fought their way
