Hi! I’m Jo. I write character-driven steamy romance. My stories tend to come in serials because I love complications. I find nothing’s spicier than characters taking a life of their own.So prepare for adventurous scenarios, very sophisticated friendships, dangerous games, power plays, leading ladies, sexy tricksters, and handsome princes in distress. I like dark alpha males as well as vulnerable cuties. And my female characters tend to come with a rebel streak or a temper. Sue me.You can read stories out of order if you’re just here for a one-night stand. Or you can climb in for the entire ride, thrills, emotions and all. That’s up to you.Firsts in series will generally be free. When a story arc is done, bundles will ensue, and they will read like novels, with a Happily Ever After, or at least a Happy For Now. Stay tuned!

If all of this is upsetting to you, you don’t have to read it. All characters involved in any adult scene in this work of fiction are far over 18 and even when things get twisty, consent is exchanged.

From the depths of the apartment, the sound of running water was periodically covered by the accents of an iconic soul song as Allie, Sean’s younger sister, could be heard enthusiastically vocalizing in the shower.

This was a new thing she did, and she was surprisingly good at it. She’d said she wanted to be a singer in a band, and maybe there was something to it, I thought, smiling, as I stepped into my fancy underwear.

I was in the bedroom with Sean who was going through his closet, probably in order to select the perfect dark suit from a series of dark suits that looked just like it. He was wearing dark jeans and a black sweater and waiting for his turn to shower. I’d just finished. I was going to wear a new dress, a tight pink number that was the exact same color as Adam’s lips.

It really was spring now. The temps had risen again, although this was still Illinois, not Florida. But the days were growing longer and we were celebrating that tonight. And to hell with it being Monday night. No time like the present to honor life, love and freedom.

Adam came in, dressed already in a pair of faded blue jeans that made my eyes bulge a little every time he knelt, bent over, or crouched down. Or just stood there. So, basically, all the time. Good thing I had glasses to hold my eyeballs in their sockets.

He handed Sean a dangly piece of metal and used both his hands to hike up his T-shirt. Can you put that back on, please?

Sean took in a sharp breath and nodded. The metallic object, a chain that could be conceived as a jewel if you
