About this ebook

If you find yourself seemingly stuck in a situation over which you seem to have little control, or maybe even think is impossible to change, then this book is for you. Maybe you have come to believe that the circumstance you find yourself in, and the cause of the circumstance, is somehow outside of your control. Maybe you think your problem is with your partner, the economy, the boss, or whatever. But finding fault with whatever appears to be the cause, or getting mad or frustrated, doesn’t make any difference at all.

If you feel hopeless and want to run away from the situation, you might think again. For by running away you might change the landscape, but your mind may very well recreate the same problem you are now trying to solve.

The answer, my friend, is to declutter the false thinking that now rules your mind, and create the freedom and clarity you want by getting back in charge of your life. So you go in search of a book or a counselor who might help you solve your problem, once and for all. This is the book, and you’ll meet the counselor in it!

    Introduction

Let’s assume, for just a short bit, that in this current moment you are feeling stuck in a situation over which you seem to have little control, or maybe even think is impossible to change. You have been trying to solve your problem for some time, assuming that the circumstance and the cause of the circumstance are somehow outside of your control. Maybe you think the problem is with your partner, the economy, the boss, or whatever. Imagine what that situation might be for you.

You have already been doing your best to find a solution to your problem, or the condition that you are in, by trying to manipulate the conditions more to your liking. You have discovered that finding fault with whatever appears to be the cause, or getting mad or frustrated, doesn’t make any difference at all. Alas, whatever you do seems to just dig a deeper hole to try and climb out of. So you go in search of a book or a counselor who might help you solve your problem.

Counselor: So what seems to be the problem, Bob?

Bob #1: It’s my boss – he’s always on my back telling me how what I am doing is wrong. I need to get a different job. Do you know of any job openings that I can apply for?

Bob #2: My wife is always complaining about something I am doing or not doing, and we get into a lot of arguments. Especially over money. When I tell her that she spends too much money on stuff she doesn’t need, she just gets mad and lashes back.

Counselor: "I see how frustrated you are, Bob, and how much you want to have things be different. Let me first offer you some ideas about how much of what we experience comes to us because we are already in the middle of some
