Amber reclined on the couch, sipping her glass of red wine. The sweet flavors rolled across her senses as she turned the television on and made herself comfortable. The work week had been long and tiring, and she almost trembled with excitement as her hand strayed downward, eager to release her pent up frustrations.

She switched the television feed and restarted the DVD from the spot it had last been paused. A sudden jingling of keys at the door had her scrambling for the remote.

Hey, a thin blonde greeted her from the door.

Hey, Devon, Amber replied, red with embarrassment. She’d given Devon keys, but hadn’t expected her new roommate to drop by before moving in.

Just stopping by to paint my room. Hope you don’t mind. Oh, this is Jenny.

Amber nodded at the brunette behind Devon, silently praying the two girls would go directly downstairs to paint the room.

Ah, long day getting supplies, Devon commented. Mind if we hang out for a bit?

Fighting to give a convincing smile, Amber gestured with an open hand.

Sure, I was just watching TV.

The two girls sat on the loveseat opposite her couch, and Jenny laughed.

Want some wine? she asked, trying to distract them.

Sure, Devon replied immediately, smiling at Jenny with a tilt of her head before turning back. Where are the glasses?

Cupboard above the fridge.

The blonde left for the kitchen, excited.

Nice place, Jenny said, looking around. Did you choose the colors?

Amber nodded.

It was tough to paint this wall red. Took quite a few coats. I’m never doing that again.

Jenny looked up at the wall, and Amber found her eyes straying to the brunette’s impressive cleavage. Her tight shirt displayed her figure well. She didn’t look like she’d come to paint at all.

Are you going to paint in that?

Hah, no, Jenny replied, hefting a bag. Got a change of clothes in here.

Well, Amber replied. My last roommate moved out to take care of her mom. I vaguely know Devon from class and heard she was looking for a place, and here we are.
