    Introduction

    This program is a mixture of the most up to date, proven, scientific training and nutrition systems and is aimed at dispelling the misconceptions and misunderstandings in the fitness and diet industries. There are training and nutritional principles in this program that you may well know about, however, the combinations they are used in have been tried and tested over the last few years to create a unique system of living (exercising and eating) that is based on how the body maximally burns fat and builds and/or maintains lean muscle tissue.

    This program can be used by anyone, at any fitness level as the level of exertion required is relative to your current fitness level. As you get fitter and stronger you will be able to train harder and longer. However none of these sessions are excessively long because intensity is preferred over longevity. If you are new to exercise or just getting back into it after a long break, the principle is simple:

    Week 1 - exercise x 1

    Week 2 - exercise x 2

    Week 3 - exercise x 3

    Week 4 - exercise x 4

    If you want to continue to 6 times a week that’s up to you, but for most people, especially with the way I promote exercise, 3-4 times a week is plenty

    There are three main aims/phases to this program:

    1. Provide a 14 day intense kick start to reset your hormones to their default setting so that you can start with a clean slate so to speak

    2. Provide a you with guidance on nutrition, exercise and goal setting designed to set yourself up for success. This will enable you to create goals that will help you burn more fat, with less exercise than you ever thought possible

    3. Give you the tools you need to maintain this optimum level for the rest of your life while still being able to enjoy your food and lifestyle guilt free

    First of all, to set your brain on the right path from the beginning, you need to delete what you have previously learnt about nutrition and dieting.

    I really detest the word diet because the so called diet industry has lead us to believe that a short term regime to achieve a specific weight is the correct way to maintain a healthy body and mind. They do not look at a lifelong methodology and at changing peoples mindsets that will enable them to change their lifestyle to enhance their lives. This is why the diet industry is a very successful failure, because people follow diets and lose weight and invariably they gain it all back and very often even more than before the diet, only to go back through the same process to start all over again.

    What a waste of your time, effort and money!!!!!

    The human body is an incredibly complex and very smart and adaptable bio-mechanical system, in which small changes in your thought processes and perception can have a profound effect. This is what makes it challenging to find a system that will work for the majority, because although we are all human beings with the same generic system, we all function slightly differently on the inside. This is why some supplements work better for some people than for others and why we all need different amounts of protein, carbs and fats depending on our physical make up, BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate - the amount of calories we burn doing nothing in a 24hr period) and how physically active we are and the kind of physical activities we engage in.     Diets target the symptoms and not the brain & body as a complete system.

    As I mentioned earlier, diets are short term focused to achieve a certain weight in a set period of time and this has a negative impact on your brain and thought processes as well as your body. This has the opposite effect long term on your body’s ability to work efficiently and effectively, and re-wires your brain to look short term. This is exactly why many diets fail and why you have probably looked at so many different diets searching for the one that will work for you by getting you to lose the greatest amount of weight in the shortest space of time.     Definition of Periodised Fasting

    Periodised Fasting is planned periods of not eating timed with planned periods of eating.

    How long each period lasts depends entirely on the type of Periodised Fasting program you choose and there are several (these are explained later on). Each program has its benefits and the choice depends on your own personal preference and what works for your lifestyle.
