Death before Dragons is an absolutely great series! I'm listening to it again, because I'm in the middle of Lindsay Buroker's new series, Legacy of Magic, that takes place in the same world (well, Washington state and Seattle area) and some of the characters from DbD have cameos in it. That made me go back to book 1, Sinister Magic, and then I couldn't stop. It's my favorite urban fantasy series after the Harry Dresden books by Jim Butcher. Actually I think Harry and Val would get along great, though I'm not sure what Mister (Harry's cat) would make of Sindari. If you like your fantasy with snark and heart, please give Buroker and these series a try!
