About this audiobook

***NOW A USA TODAY BESTSELLER***

Imagine lying in a hospital bed and the doctor who pulls the curtain back to treat you is the one who got away. Even if you never really had her in the first place. She’s not only your high school crush, she’s the ex-girlfriend of your ex-best friend. The one girl you’ve always wanted.

Here’s a step-by-step list to finally win her over…

Key to win #1: Try not to take offense that she snuck back into town without telling you—six months ago.

Key to win #2: Rekindle the friendship to ease the awkwardness. But… DO NOT enter the friend zone.

Key to win #3: Ignore the fact that she went speed dating the night before. Take it as good a sign—maybe she’s looking for a relationship.

Key to win #4: Attempt to keep the two of you out of the town gossip blog and away from your large family.

Make sure you don’t let this last one throw you off your mission.

Key to win #5: Don’t get deterred when you find out the past is about to repeat itself. Because the man she met at the speed dating night is your best buddy from work.

Just remember, you sat back and let her slip away once, you won’t do it a second time. Failure is not an option.

Good Story but it relied too much on the inability to communicate even the most simple thing plus too much of the "we can never be together...".

Part of the story repeats the events of 8 years ago which, if the H had any nads, he would have stated that he wanted our h.

This was a fantastic story. The first I read from this series and I will have to read some of the others.
Really enjoyed this story but I wish it moved a bit faster. There was only an hour and 45 minutes left till their first kiss. Even though it was a slow burn It was a fun story with great side characters that made me smile! The narration was perfect! Always enjoy Tim Paige and Meg Sylvan!

This is book 8, Kingston and Stella’s story, in Piper Rayne’s The Baileys series. If you include the 3 novellas in the series, there are 12 fabulous and unique HEAs. I read on some web review that these are considered stand alones, but I have to disagree. The authors weave both character development and backstory of all of the Baileys, as well as the quaint setting of Lake Starlight, Alaska, masterfully within each book and I know I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading these in order, including the novellas. Piper Rayne never disappoints!!!!

A special shout out to narrators, Tim Paige and Meg Sylvan! Both were intensely emotive and truly brought to life all the feels from heartache and joy to sensuality and playfulness of Kingston and Stella. All narration in this series has been great, but this was truly exceptional!

The fake Scottish accent is annoying. Otherwise, it’s the same cookie-cutter romance. Perfect to forget your daily stress.
