About this audiobook

In Walking with Fear, an audio course from Scribd Coach, UCLA Semel Institute’s Mindful Awareness Research Center Director of Mindfulness Education Diana Winston shares her insights about the practice of mindfulness, with the intention of helping you live more fully, with greater awareness and without getting lost in your fears. Drawing from over twenty years as a mindfulness educator, Winston explains the reason why humans are so often disturbed by fear and anxiety; how you can work with your fear to manage anxiety; how to identify and manage cognitive distortions; and, above all, how you can apply mindfulness in the face of anxiety using the RAIN process. She also includes meditation exercises so you can begin sharpening your mindfulness muscle right away.

If you’re looking for a proven way to manage your anxiety and fear, you could not have come to a better spot. Winston, a leading, recognized expert on mindfulness, brings you an approach that’s evidence-based, comprehensive, and practical.

Difficult for a layman to comment on the discourse by sages.

I appreciate how well the book explained fears and traumas from a neuropsychological perspective in a short amount of time. Some books seem to pressure the reader into immediately ditching the fear without the actual explanation on how to do so. I like how the author expressed that instead of walking away from it, walking peacefully with it was one of the methods the author mentioned. Short and easy, as well as applicable for training my mind to conquer my anxiety. I think I am Diana's fan now?
