About this audiobook

Rian Thompson thought she joined the gym to get healthy. Little did she know she was about to add hundred and ninety pounds of swoonworthy abdominal muscles and arrogance to her life.

Every day in Rians's life follows a predictable pattern, and she wouldn't have it any other way. She's got a nice job, a nice place to live, and a nice family-even if they are a little wedding-zilla-ish at the moment.

She doesn't need anything spectacular to be happy. She just needs to get healthy-mentally, physically . . . and maybe spiritually if that happens. But she'll settle for two out of three until her sister finally gets hitched.

Carlos Davies thought his life was perfect. Little did he know it was about to be turned upside down by a woman who is not his type.

In Carlos's mind, his life is damn near perfect. He's got a great job, a great place to live, and a great stash of pick up lines that always work. It has occurred to him that maybe no one actually takes him all that seriously. But with these bulging biceps and thick, dark hair, does that even matter since he's never sleeping alone?

Welcome to Weight Expectations, where great-and unexpected-things happen.

Wow. I can not believe the male narrator was chosen for this character. Sounds like a total empty headed fratbro. Does not convey an intelligent Latino man at all. I’m on chapter one and having a really hard time getting past the sound of his voice. I’m losing interest fast....

This is based solely on the Male narrator who is AWFUL. He sounds like the worst sort of whiny dude-bro frat boy. However, I found that I can nearly tolerate him if I increase the speed to 1.25x. Female narrator is fabulous =)

The narrators voices are possibly the worst ever. Unbelievably bad. I was so excited to listen, but ugh, seriously who sounds like this?

the story was good but the male narrator sounded quite cheesy. I sped his narration up to 1.2x and it was a bit better.

Real talk, initially (and especially after reading the other reviews), I did not like the male narrator's voice. Yes, he does sound like a f***boy. That being said, the character in the book is one to begin with. The development of his character, and the continuous acknowledgement of his flaws actually end up helping in getting used to the voice and eventually appreciating the male protagonist.
AS for the female protagonist, I love her! She is endearing and real, and made this book worthwhile. I would recommend if you have the patience to get through the first chapters of the male protagonist until he grows on you.

The male narrator was quite hard to listen to. To be fair I think the main character was written to be quite annoying, so maybe he was well cast, but I just couldn’t stand to listen to his voice. Luckily I read some of the comments that mentioned listening to him at a faster speed.. which helped a little.

My least favorite PR universe book so far. She's fat, he's gorgeous. That's about it. No depth. Unfortunately didn't hit the mark for me.

Very repetitive. Skip to chapter 15. You'll still know all you need to know about the characters and where the story line heads. Cute read about it. Skipped ahead a few as it was a bit boring

I really like this book, I come back to it over and over, but the voice they used for the guy sounds like the broest bro. Really spoils a good book.

Male lead was the worst narrator I have ever listened to.

This book is a struggle to listen to because the male narrator makes his character sound like a dumb jock and a lazy surfer.
Rian's character is hilarious! The struggle for the juggle is real, and it's penned down perfectly.
