About this audiobook

When I met Donovan Kincaid, I knew he was rich. I didn't know he was filthy. Truth be told, I was only trying to get his best friend to notice me.

I knew poor scholarship girls like me didn't stand a chance against guys like Weston King and Donovan Kincaid, but I was in love with his world, their world, of parties and sex and power. I knew what I wanted--I knew who I wanted--until one night, their world tried to bite me back and Donovan saved me. He saved me, and then Weston finally noticed me, and I finally learned what it was to be in their world.

And then what it was like to lose it.

Ten years later, I've found my way back. Back to their world. Back to him.

This time, I'm ready. I've been down this road before, and I know all the dirty, filthy ways Donovan will try and wreck me.

But it's hard to resist. Especially when I know how much I'll like it.

From NYT Bestselling author Laurelin Paige, discover a whole new world filled with sex, love, power, romance and dirty, filthy rich men.

This book was well written. I found myself always talking to the main character "Girl you are so dumb" and "Yep! That would have been me". Needless to say it kept me engaged.

The spice in this book was OK. Overall the storyline was alright. I'm just not a fan on how the book ended.

Oh my my my. I absolutely enjoyed this book. Let me just say it is WOW. I need my very own Donovan. Let me tell you the back and forth that he keeps pulling on Sabrina, what a whiplash. The ending ugh why?!?

Heroine is Beyond annoying. She is weak, self centered and confused. She has no idea what she wanted. She is so weak, she keep letting the guy she love to walk all over her and she is fine with it. No matter how many times he insulted her, as soon as she get touched n she’s gone. I have no desire to pick up the second book. Heroine think aloud too much! Ugh very annoying read

Good story but omg the female role drove me nuts. I wanted to scream constantly at her to walk away. As for him I wanted to hurt him in the worst possible way. The book certainly made me realise I have anger issues lol The book was great to get a cardio in

A deceivingly silly title for a profoundly intense book that explores a side of trauma I don’t often see depicted in this genre. Definitely needs a trigger warning for sexual assault. I found the exploration quite cathartic.

Trigger warning on this one, but daaammmnnn does that ever play with the dark side! This book is not for the faint of heart. This will push your limits and make you question your own sanity, in the best way possible. Oooo I was kept on my toes with the push and pull between Donovan and Sabrina and it was a wild ride. I first found this book through Hoopla and my local library. When I attended Readers On The River in 2019, I was able to meet Laurelin! My mom saw her books for sale and I convinced her to buy them cause they soooo good! ?

Sabrina has a major crush on the powerful Weston in college. However, in her borderline stalking of Weston, she crosses paths with his friend, Donovan. After a verbal confrontation with Donovan, Sabrina is attacked and then saved by Donovan. This leads to her coping the best she can, thinking things through and changing the story in her head to fit her needs. However, Donovan is no hero in the end. He uses his power as her TA to manipulate her. Before we can see what is going to happen between them, Sabrina’s father passes away and she has no choice but to leave college.

Fast forward years later, Sabrina is working in the advertising world and crosses paths with Weston once again. Now she can finally put to rest what it’s like to be with him and move on right? Nope. He gives her an offer she can’t refuse so she goes to work with him. Little does she know, Donovan is working at that location now too and all the lines get blurred so fast you can’t keep your head straight. The tension between Sabrina and Donovan is palpable. Every time Sabrina has an encounter with Donovan she feels her walls getting torn to shreds, and he just remains indifferent and such an a$$ hole.

Can Sabrina break through Donovan’s walls in the end? Can she survive him playing out her darkest fantasies without losing herself and her heart to a man who can flip a switch and ignore her so easily?? Oh man Donovan is a perfect Alphahole that makes you want to pull your hair out… or have him pull it ? And this book is part of a duet. So yes we have a little bit of a cliff hanger at the end here… but thank god these came out a few years ago already and we can dive right into the conclusion!

I really liked Donovan even though he was a complete sh1*! The heroine though drove me nuts with her pathetic and downtrodden thought process. OK, so she had filthy thoughts but continual? I don't think so. I just wish she had a spine. Hopefully in book #2 she'll develop one!
