In this episode, Leanne interviews Helena Hills of True Start Coffee, a company that started out making coffee – but with a difference. Not only is this coffee ethically sourced from South America where Helena lived for a while, but it’s main selling point is this: every serving contains exactly the same amount of caffeine, so you know what you’re consuming. The idea for the business came about when Helena and her husband and co-founder Simon were training for an Ironman, and using coffee pre-training for energy. Helena became frustrated when some sessions she’d find the coffee really helped her, but other times she’d suffer as a result of too much caffeine. Hence, True Start Coffee was born. In this interview, we discuss the health benefits of caffeine for wellbeing, as well as the benefits for training.
