Brian Kelly has stood by his philosophy for how he wants to build his LSU football rosters since the first day he landed in Baton Rouge: keep Louisiana talent in Louisiana. In this instance, Coach Kelly brought Louisiana talent back to Louisiana as former 5-star WR from Edna Karr high school is transferring to LSU after spending his first college season with Nick Saban at the University of Alabama. Anderson originally committed to LSU but de-committed after former LSU head coach Ed Orgeron was fired in the 2021 season. After struggling with set backs from a knee injury and not recording any stats in his first year with the Crimson Tide, he is headed back home to suit up for the Tigers next season.
Anderson is a talented WR who recorded 6,000 total yards throughout his high school career at Edna Karr. Not only does he bring depth and talent to the WR position, but he also brings much needed special teams expertise. In high school, Anderson returned 20 total kickoffs for a touchdown. He even returned three kickoffs for a touchdown in one single game in his final high school season. Anderson will join Kayshon Boutte, Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas, Kyren Lacy, redshirt Chris Hilton, and true freshman Landon Ibieta along in the WR room along with four members of the 2023 class.
