With three guys seemingly in the running to be the starter, Washington Football has announced that Indiana transfer Michael Penix Jr. will be the starter for the Huskies in 2022 under first-year HC Kalen DeBoer. Penix beat out Dylan Morris and former 5-star QB Sam Huard to get the starting nod up in Seattle. Does this change anything for Washington and how much success they could have this year as DeBoer and co. try to turn the program around?

Notably, ESPN has some differences in where writers put teams in the power rankings compared to the computer-generated FPI projections ahead of the season which starts next week.
