USC Football's expectations in recruiting after the hire of Lincoln Riley have understandably gone up after moving on from Clay Helton. So far he's delivered on that optimism with commitments from high-end 2023 players like QB Malachi Nelson and WR Zach Branch. At this point in the recruiting cycle, however, the Trojans have not found a lot of success in the trenches on either side of the ball. A recent commitment on the offensive line from Micah Banuelos, who should fit well in Riley's offensive schemes, might change that.

Their 2023 class is currently in the top 25 nationally, and it has all happened rather fast during the months of June and July.
