Mackenzie Mgbako, top-10 recruit in the class of 2023, will choose between Kansas and Indiana on Friday evening. Which program has more at stake with his commitment. For Kansas and Bill Self, it could put them over the top as the best team in America (if they aren’t already). For Indiana and Mike Woodson, they would likely rely more heavily on what Mgbako brings to the team. For either team, Mgbako will be an important and helpful piece.

The transfer portal closed on Thursday. Notable players like Ernest Udeh (Kansas), Arthur Kaluma (Creighton), and Julian Phillips (Tennessee) were all late additions. Udeh’s move might indicate Mgbako’s intentions. Kaluma and Phillips are both also in the NBA Draft and have been invited to the Combine.
