LSU football had a massive weekend in recruiting signing two more four-star players to their 2023 class.
First, Brian Kelly pledged to Recruit the Boot and that is exactly what he is doing. Trey Holly, a four-star RB out of Farmerville, LA committed to play for LSU over the weekend. He has earned back-to-back Louisiana Class 3A Offensive Player of the Year honors for two 2,000+ rushing yard seasons. How can he stand out in a stacked RB room at LSU?
Second, Louisiana isn't the only focus for this Tiger recruiting staff. Daylen Austin, CB out of California, came public with his commitment to LSU after committing to the coaching staff in mid-April. He is the third DB commitment and first CB in the 2023 class and brings top-notch speed to the backfield. But what exactly attracted him to LSU as a California kid?
