With two #1 picks and another starter in the NFL, Lincoln Riley has earned his reputation as a college quarterback guru. He recruited very well during his time as the head coach at Oklahoma, but his ceiling on the recruiting trail is even higher at USC--trojan fans should expect him to eventually bring in top-5 caliber classes down to Los Angeles. He's proven more than capable of bringing in skill position players, but to make USC a dominant force once again he will have to find high-caliber players in the trenches as well.

Led by 5-star QB Malachi Nelson, USC's recruiting class for 2023 is already off to a good start--and it would have its first defensive star if 5-star EDGE Jayden Wayne chooses the Trojans over other potential suitors. Meanwhile UCLA is already enjoying the benefits of newly-hired linebackers coach Ken Norton Jr. from the NFL, who was the primary recruiter for 2023 safety and potential hybrid player Ty Lee.
Arizona State DT Jermayne Lole is actively testing the waters in the transfer portal, while also having said he would like to return to the Sun Devils for his final season of college football before going to the NFL. He is considering a rather bizarre combination of schools for his next stop should he leave ASU: Oregon, Louisville, Texas Tech, and Florida.
