In today's episode I chat with Rebecca Cawood, fellow Registered Dietitian Nutritionist about eating disorders, orthorexia, weight neutrality, body diversity and our personal experiences of disordered eating as Dietitians. Rebecca works at the Eating Disorder Center of Montana in Bozeman, Montana. She works with patients in the outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, and Partial Hospitalization levels of eating disorder treatment. She completed a Bachelors of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition with a coordinated internship from Eastern Michigan University and is currently working towards becoming a Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietitian. Rebecca provides practical and positive eating solutions from a non-diet, weight inclusive, and Intuitive Eating framework. With a personal history of disordered eating, she knows the physical, mental, emotional, and interpersonal damage that can be caused by diet culture and unrealistic body standards. She also knows that a life of recovery and food freedom is possible for everyone. Rebecca is passionate about creating a more equitable world, where bodies of all sizes receive respect and compassionate care. She finds great joy and purpose in helping others regain body trust, honor internal cues, and live at peace with food and body.
