Description
Thanks so much to Beth Pascall for chatting to us about her incredible Bob Graham Round women's record, 24th July 2020.
Original YouTube version here https://youtu.be/0_RDQVwPeQ8
In this film we talk about how Beth got into ultra running, how she trained for her record-breaking Bob Graham round during the pandemic, how she balances running with her work as a busy doctor, and why she has spent so much time on the bike recently...
She also gives us an insight into how she recovers between the Western States 100 and the UTMB (both of which she hopes to complete again in 2021).
Beth shares with us what she eats on her long distance challenges and races, and what qualities she looks for in her pacers and support crew.
She reveals what it's like to climb Broad Stand after 40miles of running, how she felt at the end coming into Keswick having broken the ladies' record, and how far she thinks women can go - can they beat Billy's time of 13 hours 53 like George Foster did recently with his 13:44?
Finally she talks about what's coming next for her in 2021 - we wish you all the best Beth!
