One of the key elements of #SAFe, or the #ScaledAgileFramework, is the #ContinuousDeliveryPipeline. It represents the #workflows, #activities, and #automation needed to bring a piece of #functionality from its #formation in the mind's eye, to a fully-featured, working piece of a #product. The #ContinuousDeliveryPipeline is a sort of map, detailing the journey through an #AgileReleaseTrain.

The different parts of the #CDP are this:
#ContinuousExploration (#CE), #ContinuousIntegration (#CI), #ContinuousDeployment (#CD), and #ReleaseonDemand. Each of these is a topic on its own, and all work together to enable the #delivery of new #features while maintaining #stability and #efficiency.

There are many ways the #CDP is beneficial to #organizations. #CDP allows #organizations to continuously #improve, #cultivating #internalfeedbackloops that drive greater quality, by way of mapping out their #deliverypipeline into a new #structure. The structure utilized by the #CDP is different than that of #traditionalstructures-- down to the way #releases are #delivered.

#Traditionalpractices tend to perceive releases as large #monolithic chunks. However, the reality is that releasing value need not translate to an ‘all-or-nothing approach. Using a satellite as an example, the #elements of the system are comprised of the satellite, the ground station, and a web farm that feeds the acquired satellite data to end-users. Some #elements may be released daily—perhaps the web farm #functionality. Other #elements, like the hardware #components of the satellite itself, may only be released every launch cycle.
