    Introduction

    THE TERM RESILIENCE is actually a metaphor for a measurable phenomenon in physics, namely the ability of a body to withstand external abrupt or sustained mechanical stresses without breaking. An equivalent meaning can also be found in other disciplines. In biology, resilience is the ability to self-repair after damage, while in ecology, the more an ecosystem is endowed with variability in environmental factors, the more the species within it possess high resilience. In computer science, the resilience of an operating system is represented by its ability to adapt to usage conditions and withstand wear and tear. The term, borrowed from physics, biology, and computer science, is used by psychology and sociology to indicate an individual's capacity to withstand life's shocks without breaking or cracking while maintaining and enhancing personal and social resources. Resilience can thus be considered as the ability to confront stressful events, overcome them, and continue to develop by increasing one's resources, leading to a positive reorganization of
