About this ebook

This cookbook is a collection of recipes for thirty kosher dinner meals, each comprised of a protein, vegetable, and carbohydrate component, prepared from start to finish in approximately thirty minutes for the cost of about thirty dollars. But this cookbook is so much more than just thirty recipes. Because with almost every recipe, I provide multiple variations and substitutions for ingredients to help you create the perfect meal to suit your family's preferences, and budget, and to help you use up what you have on hand. I know that a recipe is meant to be a blueprint for inspiration and I hope you will use these recipes to create meals that will become family favorites and part of your weekly dinner rotation.

    Thirty Meals

This cookbook is a collection of recipes for thirty kosher dinner meals, each comprised of a protein, vegetable, and carbohydrate component, prepared from start to finish in approximately thirty minutes for the cost of about thirty dollars. But this cookbook is so much more than just thirty recipes. Because with almost every recipe, I provide multiple variations and substitutions for ingredients to help you create the perfect meal to suit your family’s preferences, and budget, and to help you use up what you have on hand. Thirty Minutes

When it comes to cooking and especially getting dinner on the table daily, time is definitely of the essence. And no one knows better than me that the time it takes to make a meal largely depends on how many times I’m interrupted during the cooking process. I tested all the recipes multiple times, sometimes while home alone, and sometimes during the evening rush when everyone was home. Needless to say, I can make a meal faster when I’m in the kitchen alone, but even with the occasional interruption, these recipes can be made quickly. I’ve written notes on what order to prepare each component so that there isn’t any waiting around for one component to be cooked before starting another. Also, all of the prep time, including chopping vegetables, is included in the steps of the recipes so that you can prep and cook as you go. Even if you are just beginning to learn how to cook, the steps in these recipes are written to help you streamline the cooking process so that you can easily complete the meal without second-guessing what to do next.

Tips for getting dinner done fast:

Before you start cooking, read the recipe from start to finish, take out all of your ingredients, and any equipment including measuring cups, bowls, spoons, pots and pans.

Follow the instructions in the recipe, don’t just look at the ingredients! I’ve tested these recipes multiple times and written everything down with the steps you need to follow in order to account for any prep and hands on cooking time to make sure that you’re not spending more than 30 minutes making each meal.

Bigger pans and pots provide a larger cooking surface area, and more evenly cooked food, faster. Invest in at least one extra large workhorse pot, pan, and two baking sheets because they will save you time.
