Welcome to Susan and T’ara’s Kitchen

Welcome to our kitchen! We are excited to introduce our new column, which will explore food and nutrition tips, mouthwatering recipes, culinary delights, and so much more.

Time to hang up your winter coat, breath in some cool, crisp air, and enjoy the beauty of the colorful budding flowers. Spring is the perfect time of year to embrace new ideas in the kitchen and experiment with nutritious and delicious dishes that will excite your taste buds and fuel your body.

Check out our top tips and recipes to spice up your spring meals.

1. Pick up new produce. Spring is a time of renewal! Time to move beyond those “same old produce picks” and try nutrient-packed and low-carb vegetables and fresh herbs, which are available during the spring season. Remember to add veggies, which provide a fiber boost along with essential vitamins and minerals, at the start of the day. Eating vegetables in the morning and throughout the day keeps you fuller longer.

Start by tossing some colorful, low-carb veggies (such as asparagus) into your morning omelet.
