There's a big difference between being alone and feeling lonely. We can live alone and be happy, or we can have plenty of friends and still feel lonely. We can feel like something is still missing regardless of what we have. At the end of the day, we can see how we just miss ourselves. Loneliness is the feeling that something inside of us is still missing. Symptoms include persistently depressed moods and loss of interest in activities. This can also be a feeling of self-dissatisfaction. We can have a million to no friends and still carry loneliness wherever we go. Loneliness and being alone is not the same thing, we can be happy living or being alone.
