    Chapter-2

    The Story Starts from here;

It was very good to her to be there with her mother, enjoying, relaxing! How much she worked hard, studied sometimes till twelve also in the night and sometimes irritated on herself for worrying like that for her examinations. If she has not secured that much good marks in her first and second year degree examinations, she would not have bothered like that for her final year. She came first in the first two years in her college and she just wanted to be like that for her final year also.

You are becoming an envy to all of us not just for your beauty but for your studies also. Her friend Neeraja sometimes said like that to her. I just cannot understand how someone can be blessed with both education and beauty also.

Whenever Sameera heard these types of remarks, she would get irritation. In the beginning she did not believe much that she was beautiful. Even though she appeared beautiful to herself, she thought anyone can appear beautiful to him or her but once she started hearing remarks so from each and everyone, she has to believe that she was beautiful.

Your aunt, your father’s sister, is very much beautiful and just like you at your age! I never have thought that you do resemble her and become beautiful like this. Her mother said to her on one day.

Mallika, Sameera’s aunt was a psychologist, she did research and took doctorate in that also. In fact she was the inspiration to Sameera and she was the reason for Sameera’s decision to do research on some subject in psychology and take doctorate in it. It was her life aim her only goal and putting all other things aside Sameera concentrated only on her studies to achieve that.

The irony was, even though Sameera was inspired by her aunt and wanted to take doctorate just like her, she did not like her. The reason for her disliking her aunt was, she eloped with one Vykhunta Rao while Sameera was ten years or so old. Because of that incident, huge differences have come between the family of that Vykhunta Rao and Sameera’s and Sameera’s father started disliking and hating his sister Mallika that much, he would get angry on Sameera also sometimes just because she resembled her aunt. But while she was with Sameera, Mallika loved her a lot which caused Sameera also love her a lot. In that tender age itself Sameera found that her aunt was intelligent, inspired by her and decided to study psychology and take doctorate just like her. But her eloping like that with a guy and causing differences in such a way between two families which were used to be great friends before that incident caused lot of hate and disgust in her also towards her aunt but that did not wipe away her goal to study psychology and take doctorate in it. It was indeed odd to love and hate the same person at that time but now it was just like that to Sameera towards her aunt.

Anyhow for the present Sameera’s concentration was always on her studies and she just never wanted to become the attention of anyone because of her appearance. But from her high school studies itself, she used to be the attention not just for the boys there but the girls and the teachers also because of her beauty.

Here also the situation was not much different where a marriage of her mother’s cousin’s was being performed. She has come along with her mother Katyayani and she just did not know how to escape and avoid the interesting looks of the people around. She always be careful in not trying to be particularly glamorous but it did not give her much result. Now she was thinking to be particularly de-glamorous to avoid the unnecessary and embarrassing attention.

It was not just Sameera in such a predicament but her mother Katyayani also. Recently parents started asking about Sameera’s marriage. As she was very much beautiful also and belonged to a respectable family, they were ready to make her their daughter in law. They were even ready to wait until the marriage of her sister Sujatha’s was over to make her their daughter in law. Katyayani just did not know how to deny their proposals without hurting them much.

Will you please come with me for few minutes? Katyayani’s cousin Sreelekha, mother of the bride came to her and asked her in her ear like a secret. At that moment Katyayani was relaxingly settled in a chair and watching the performance of marriage.

Sreelekha was not just a cousin to Katyayani but a very good friend to her also. That was why even that place was far to her house, Katyayani came to her daughter’s marriage along with her daughter.

Tell me what? once she reached into a solitary room along with Sreelekha, Katyayani asked her. Is everything going smooth?

Everything is alright and going nice, there is no problem.

Then what do you want to talk with me now? Marriage is just in an half an hour and you are supposed to be with your daughter looking after all the necessary things. Katyayani was feeling surprise and irritation also at the same time.

Yes, I am very busy and cannot spend much time with you. But I just don’t know to say this to you. Then Katyayani noticed a sort of uneasiness on Sreelekha’s face.

First tell me what it is and save the time for yourself and myself also. Katyayani’s heart speed increased with the anticipation that Sreelekha was going to say something bad. What exactly Sreelekha wanted to say?

Do you know Prathap Chandra Asarava family? The great business people and rich family in our country?

Who don’t know? They are such famous and rich everyone knows about them. Even though Katyayani could not understand what Sreelekha was going to say, she understood it was not going to be bad as she was feeling fear. Tell me what that family has to do with our family?

Sreelekha was about to say something but then a woman came there and said You are asked to come by the priest. Muhurtham is coming and there are very important works need to be done by you. You need to come now itself.

I cannot spend anymore time with you now, I can make you meet with a man and he will tell you everything.

After saying so Sreelekha hold Katyayani’s right arm with her right hand, dragged her from there to some person. Katyayani found that person was observing them both with a curious expression in his face.

He will explain everything to you. Once they both reached that person Sreelekha said to Katyayani and then looked into that person’s face. Now you tell her everything you do want. I have to go now. After saying that Sreelekha went away from that place very fast towards the place where the marriage was being performed as the priest was calling for her with loud voice.

What do you want to talk to me? looking into his face with surprise Katyayani asked him. And who are you?

I shall tell you everything but not here. That person said. Can we both go into somehow a peaceful place? Here it is too much noise.

Katyayani nodded her head still feeling lot of confusion in herself. What a person from such a rich and famous family wanted to talk with her?

    Please come with me.

When that person started moving from that place, Katyayani just followed him holding all that confusion and surprise in her without any change.

THEY BOTH ENTERED INTO a room which probably has been given to him to stay and there was a forty years or so aged woman also in that and as soon as these both entered into that room she stood up. She went near to the doors, closed them and looked into the face of Katyayani.

You please make comfortable yourself in the chair. It may take rather sometime to explain the whole issue to you. That woman said.

I came here to see the marriage of my friend. Not to listen anything mysterious from strangers. It is the crucial time of my cousin’s daughter’s marriage and depriving me of seeing the important part in it you dragged me here. Katyayani was really very much angry.

I am really very sorry for that. There was indeed a sorrowful expression in the face of that person. Unless this matter is that much important, I would not have done like that.

Then tell what it is fast. Still feeling very much angry Katyayani said. Don’t waste anymore of my time.

You certainly would have heard about Prathap Chandra Asarava family. They are the famous businessmen and richest people in the country. Vinay Chandra Asarava is the son of Prathap Chandra Asarava who is now looking after the business of that family along with his father and owns it as he is the only son of Prathap Chandra Asarava.

I know this much. Probably lot many people also know about this as they are the richest and famous people in the country. Katyayani was still feeling very much irritation. What all I cannot understand is why you are saying all this to me.

Just be patient for a few more minutes with me. With a pleading expression in his face that person said and continued. That Vinay Chandra Asarava has been having a dream for a long time, from his very childhood itself. In that dream he is seeing a girl and certain things also. As he has been having dreams like that with the same girl and the same certain things quite often, it has been verified with their family priest and great saint Swamy Nayanananda what does that mean. Then it has come to the knowledge that Vinay has certain relationship with that girl, a paranormal relationship and they both were man and wife for their many lives. He has to marry only that girl in this life also and it should take place as soon as possible once both of them over minority.

Alright. Then........ Katyayani knitted her brows together.

Our Prathap Chandra Asarava came to this marriage. He has seen your daughter and recognized that she is the girl he has been seeing in his dreams till now so frequently. Now it is imperative that he has to marry her without any delay.

That Prathap Chandra has come to this marriage! this was very much shocking to Katyayani. And he has seen my daughter!

Yes that person nodded his head. He is a good friend to the bridegroom. As he knew about the complications if people know about his coming to this marriage, he asked him and his family to keep his coming here as a secret. He is also among the guests and saw your daughter. Now I think you can understand why I suddenly wanted to talk with you.

It is not very much surprising that boys want to marry my girl as she is very much beautiful. With a smile on her lips Katyayani said. And the story you have concocted also is very much interesting!

I agree your daughter is very much beautiful. For the first time opening her mouth that woman said. But if you have known about Vinay Chandra in full, you would not have talked like that. He is that much rich and handsome, any girl on the earth will come forward to marry him happily. There is no necessity to him to tell a story like this to marry your daughter.

May be ......I don’t know....... Katyayani startled. She said like that without thinking much but she knew well what that woman said was absolutely true. That Asarava’s family was that much rich and famous and she heard about that Vinay Chandra also. Any girl certainly would agree to marry him without a second thought. But it was all quite unbelievable and just like a dream! How her daughter would become subject matter of such a thing!

My daughter is very much young! Just nineteen years old. Katyayani said with a guilty expression. Moreover all the time her concentration is only on her studies and her aim is to get doctorate. She never agrees to marry now whoever may be the bridegroom.

It is important especially to that girl. That woman said. She has to be associated with Vinay Chandra as soon as possible otherwise it is dangerous to that girl. It also has been said by that great saint himself. Please talk with her and make her understand this.

I don’t think that she believes any of this. With an uneasy expression in her face Katyayani said. Moreover she has a sister also. How can we get her married without getting her sister married first?

I cannot say anything to that but I can say this marriage is more important to your daughter than Vinay Chandra. First talk this matter with your daughter and see what she would say. Then we shall we think about the rest. That woman suggested.

I am sure that she will not agree to this. With firmness in her voice
