Charitha was desperate to save her family from its financial crisis and was worrying too much as she could not do that with the meagre income she was having through her small job. She just did not like her friend Prameela's helping her financially time and again but she could not deny as there was no other way at all except that to come over at least some of that predicament. When she could not get a good job anywhere with a better salary and when she could not find any other way to help her family, she got the chance to act in a movie with forty lakhs rupees remuneration. As it was a sexy movie and there would be lot of exposing also, it has indeed become a delicious predicament to Charitha to act in that move to save her family from that financial crisis. Chapter-1

M om called again Charitha said without turning back and without looking into the face of Prameela. She knew if she looked into the face of Prameela then Prameela could understand the untold appeal in her face and even she quite joyfully would advance some more amount, Charitha could not take the same. She just could not! But could she remain without taking that considering the situation at her home? As there was no response from her behind, Charitha turned back and as she guessed Prameela stood there with a smile on her lips and her smart-phone in her hands. 

You just feel relaxed! I transferred some ten thousand rupees into your mom’s account. The smile was just so on her lips.

Who asked you to transfer amount like that? there was an instant angry expression on the face of Charitha but the inner feeling of her was absolutely different. This was what she absolutely intended that Prameela should do but could not ask. How many times you send money like this? Why you are making me more and more indebted to you?

Charitha’s father did not like Prameela much as such Prameela took Charitha’s mother’s bank account to transfer money like that every time. It was indeed very much difficult to Charita to accept help like that from Pameela every now and then, even though it was true that she helped her while their studying together in high school, junior college and degree college and her family also was very well knew about her. From the very beginning even though not as much as Charita, Prameela was attractive and youthful and wanted to act in movies. She was quite lucky that she could get the acquaintance of one popular camara man while she was trying for roles and he became her good friend and lover also later on and got her good characters in some movies. Even Prameela could not become a popular heroine, now and then she could get heroine characters in small movies and was having comfortable income so far. She bought a flat in the film city in which Charitha and herself have been living while Prameela was acting in movies and Charitha was doing a small job. Whenever Prameela has to go out of station due to her acting work, Charitha would be all alone in that flat.

If you use the word ‘indebted’ once again I kill you on the spot. Prameela pretended an angry expression in her face. Are you thinking that it is possible to me to forget the help you did to me while we were studying? Ever you let me even ask the help to you? Even before I said about my predicament to you, you used to help me and never gave me a chance to repay you in those days. I am just feeling so happy that I can be helpful to you now.

But how long this is going to be so? Charitha threw the cell phone in her hands onto the nearby table before slumping herself in the sofa there. Dad has to resign to the job due to his ill health and brother and sister are still studying. Dad has to undergo that surgery and in addition to these mom’s health problems and her medical expenditure. The salary I have been getting doing that blasted secretary job is not enough to cover even my expenses. If you don’t help me in this way, what should happen to me and my family? Charitha said looking at the side of Prameela.

Relax dear! Relax! Good days do come in your life also. What all you need to do is to have some patience. I am sure you do get a very good job in future. Prameela also slumped on the side of her and said.

I am not thinking like that! Charitha nodded her head in negation with a disappointing expression in her face. Shorthand is replaced by so many advanced techniques and no one wants to use stenographers. Now a day everyone does have that much of computer knowledge which I have. It will be a great thing if the company I am working now does not try to remove me.

I am also trying to locate a good job for you and I am sure that you do find yourself in comfortable finance condition very soon. Prameela said with a sort of firmness in her voice. Sometimes I do have hunches and those hunches come true. I cannot say why but I am feeling that very soon you can find a solution to your problem. Have faith in god and just be relaxed. Putting her hand around her shoulders and squeezing her gently Prameela said.

Do I have any option except that? Charitha knitted her brows together. But try to be a little earlier to that production office on this day. If it has been worked out for you, you will get a lump-sum amount which will enable you to help me even more. With a smile and plain expression on her face still looking into the face of her friend Charitha said.  

I am not feeling happy for this. Prameela got off from the sofa and stood opposite to Charitha. Of course two rounds were over and if this third round also is over I shall be the heroine in this movie. But neither my friend nor that director cum producer are very much happy to produce this movie with me as heroine. In fact........... she paused for a second before saying again. ............I am also not very much. Even the remuneration would be very much grand, I cannot feel too much happy to act in this movie.

It is just because of the story of this movie, is it is not? A sex oriented movie. However much famous that production house is; it is indeed difficult to act in a movie like that. Charitha said.

No, of course. That is not the reason for my disliking to act in this movie. Nodding her head in negation, Prameela said. Some of the movies I have acted dubbed into the language of that state, I acted straight in some movies of the language of that state and I am not completely an unknown face to the people who are going to see it. That producer cum director wanted a completely new face to his audience.

There was small silence and before Charitha said anything Prameela said again Don’t ask no new face from this state came for audition and selection. Numerous new candidates have appeared but they did not satisfy that guy. He is thinking that I am better than those for that role and ultimately may compromise with me.

I wish and hope that it shall just happen like that. Charitha said.

But I wish and hope that he gets the correct candidate for his movie. Sighing heavily Prameela said. That producer and director is a great friend to my friend and his satisfaction and success makes my friend happy and my friend’s happiness makes me happy.

I just don’t know what to say. Charitha nodded her head with a helpless expression.

As it is Sunday and holiday why should not you also come with me? I can introduce you to my friend and I already told you my friend has huge influential circle. He may arrange a good and profitable job for you. Prameela suddenly said as that thought struck her only then.

It is a good idea I must say. Charitha also got off from the sofa she sat. I also have no other work to do. Even he cannot manage a job for me, it may atleast give me some time-pass. Charitha’s face was filled with sudden enthusiasm.

Then you also have to be fast. We are going to take our lunch while returning from there and there will be no cooking for us in the house on this day.

Then it did not take much time to both of them to finish their routine and came out of that house.

I agree that I have good connections with big people but they are all directors and producers. None of them need a secretary or office administrator.

Charitha was warmly received by Prameela’s friend Madhukar after her introducing Charitha to him and once finished with the hearing of Prameela’s request Madhukar said with an uneasy expression.

Never mind. Charitha laughed. I have guessed this and there is no disappointment for me. My main idea for coming here is to get some time-pass.

You sure do have the best time-pass here, there is no problem. Madhukar said and then looked into Prameela’s face. Tarang is not very much happy. I need not tell you if we have to take you as the heroine of this movie, it is just a compromise. He needs someone, someone completely new to this field, not even knows the language of that state. The story of the movie demands things so.

Is it is my mistake then? Prameela’s face was with full of irritation. I am also not feeling too much enthusiastic to act in this movie. Why don’t you both try some more to get a suitable candidate?

Are you thinking interviewing and testing six hundred candidates is not an enough task for this purpose? Madhukar knitted his brows together. After disappointing himself with each of those candidates, Tarang is thinking to make you the heroine of this movie. Even you are not a new face to the movie field and has been known to the audience there, you satisfied some extent the requirements here.

I really hope that your friend gets the best heroine for this movie. I don’t feel even a little bit if I have not got the chance to act in this movie.

I know about it, you need not tell me. Sighing heavily Madhukar said. For the first time I am getting frustration. When I have failed in my own state, in my own language, he gave me the opportunity to prove myself and we both became good friends also. Now when he wants to produce his dream project, I just cannot be big help to him.

There was some silence then which was broken by Madhukar himself. This is all so odd to you is it is not? he said with a smile looking into the face of Charitha. You need to be in this field to understand how all this is.

She cannot even imagine like that. Prameela laughed and said. Her family never think even in their wildest also that that their daughter does act in movies. You know one thing! They don’t even like her staying with me just because I am acting in movies. They are that much orthodox.

It is not so. With an uneasy expression in her face Charitha said. The main thing is; I never have any interest on acting even though I watch movies with interest. She forced a smile onto her lips.

There was silence once again and this time Prameela was going to say something but then Madhukar’s friend Tarang has entered into that room. Madhukar and Prameela immediately stood up as soon as he entered into that room, Charitha instantly understood who he was and she also stood up.

After initial greetings and smiles, he asked Madhukar in Tamil. Who is this girl?

Friend of Prameela. She took her here just for time-pass as she is feeling bore in the house. Madhukar also said in the same language and then looked into the face of Charitha and said in Telugu. My friend does not know our Telugu at all. You don’t mind.

I don’t know Tamil even a little. Charitha said with a smile. Anyhow no problem.

Tarang looked few seconds into the face of Charitha before looking into the face of Madhukar. Come with me Madhu. We should have very important discussion between ourselves. He said in Tamil.

Yes, we have to decide whether we compromise ourselves with Prameela or still try for someone more suitable to the role. Madhukar also said in Tamil and then he looked into the face of Prameela and Charitha before saying in Telugu. Both of you wait here. Just in half an hour or so, I do come out.

It was not indeed half an hour before Madhukar coming to Prameela and Charitha and Prameela said with a smile. What your friend has decided? Make the movie with me or find someone more suitable?

I just don’t know what to say! with absolute uneasiness and gathered frowns on his forehead, Madhukar said.

Come on, why do you feel like that? I have no objection to quit if you people want to find more suitable one. I just pray to god that you get someone absolutely suitable to this role. Adjusting herself in the chair for more comfort Prameela said.
