    In Nourishing Your Body, Healing Your Mind: The 10-Week Affirmation Challenge for Emotional Eating, you'll find a unique approach to overcoming emotional eating through affirmations and journal prompts.

    Each week, we'll explore a different theme that will help you break free from emotional eating patterns and develop a healthier relationship with food. From being present and mindful, to building a strong support system, to self-care and stress reduction, you'll learn practical strategies to help you nourish your body and heal your mind.

    By the end of the 10-week challenge, you'll have a new perspective on food and a toolbox of affirmations and journal prompts to help you continue on your journey of self-discovery and healing.

    How to Use This Book

    IN THE NEXT 10 WEEKS, you will learn how to use affirmations to help you with emotional eating.

    Please note: I am not a doctor, I am not a therapist, and I do not claim to be. I am, however, someone who has used affirmations, self-reflection, and visualization to overcome my emotional eating. I am sharing what worked for me; if it does not work for you, that’s okay!

    The book is broken down into 10 chapters, one each week, and each chapter contains affirmations for you to use and journal about.

    Here are the steps to take:

    Read a chapter a week: Start by reading the chapter for the week. Read it carefully, and take note of the affirmations that resonate with you the most.

    Say the affirmations in the chapter once a week: Once you have read the chapter, start saying the affirmations in the chapter once a week. Make note of how the affirmations make you feel – good or bad. Your emotional and physical reaction to them can give you a lot of insight of where you are at.

    Journal about one affirmation from the chapter a day, or use the accompanying journal prompts: After saying the affirmations, pick one that resonated with you, and journal about it. Write down your thoughts and feelings about the affirmation, and how it made you feel. If you want, use the journal prompts to explore that week’s topic on a deeper level.

    Reflect on the affirmation you picked for the day: At the end of each day, reflect on how the affirmation you picked for that day changed your mood, your behavior, and your experience of wealth and abundance. Did you notice anything different happening in your life? Write it down in your journal.

    For so long, my relationship with food was fraught with anxiety, guilt, and shame, and I often used eating as a way to numb difficult emotions or distract myself from stress.
