    My Affirmation Story

    HEY THERE, I'M HARPER, and I am so excited to share with you the transformative power of affirmations. In fact, affirmations have played such a significant role in my life that they helped me write this book!

    Growing up in Portland, Oregon in the 90s and 00s, I was exposed to the New Age movement and discovered the magic of affirmations in metaphysical bookstores. My mother was a strong believer in the power of positive thinking, and our home was adorned with affirmations on mirrors and doors. These phrases became a constant presence in my life, and I even wrote them on my arms as a reminder of their significance.

    As I got older, I began incorporating affirmations into my daily routine, whispering them to myself during emergencies while working in veterinary medicine and reciting them during a long cross-country move. Affirmations have given me the courage to apply for jobs and promotions, and have helped me be my best self on
