    We all wear disguises. We learn from childhood through to adulthood how to protect ourselves with other people so we will not expose our vulnerable core and be unnecessarily injured. The problem comes when we create so many disguises that we lose track of our true self.

    These questions prove helpful when deciding if you are wearing a disguise or living as your authentic self in the world:

    Are you happy?

    Do you make decisions based on what other people want?

    Do you feel worried or distressed if someone in your life is upset?

    This book is about the connection between authenticity and happiness. The more authentic you are, the happier you are. When you are genuinely yourself, you have what you need inside of you to create your own happiness.
