    _________________________________

Have you ever been on a journey to improve your health or perhaps felt a calling that was asking you to level up your ‘health’ game? Have you ever felt that your body, mind and soul were screaming for more love, more appreciation and more vitality?

I’ve been there. In fact, I have spent over 10 years pursuing better ‘health’. I have explored almost every different avenue you could imagine on my own journey to discover what ‘being healthy’ really looked like for me. You name it, I’ve been there, done that, worn the t-shirt. Fad dieting, the latest body hack, regimented gym rituals, essential oil therapy, reiki, acupuncture, they all excited me at one point or another and although I do believe they all have their place, it can get quite tiring pretty quickly when we believe that one thing alone is going to ‘fix’ all our problems. Each new therapy, hack or practice led me from one to the next and with each attempt at being and feeling ‘healthier’, I was left feeling more deflated, depleted and restless. I was left always wanting more and craving something greater! Before I’d even finished one thing, my mind was already on the next. I felt empty.

The more I worked on improving my health, the further away I felt from achieving it. That’s when I realised that my body wasn’t just craving ‘health’, my body was craving ‘fullness’ too. I wanted to feel full.

Every time I embarked on a new venture within my healthy journey, I had all the hopes and expectations that this time would be it. I’d finally feel well, vibrant, healthy, energised and enlightened. The problem wasn’t that I was failing at putting in enough effort, not reading enough, learning enough or doing enough. The problem was that my definition of ‘health’ was so narrow-minded that I neglected to see the bigger picture. Up until that point, the concept of being healthy was almost one-dimensional: If you eat well and exercise regularly, then you’ll be healthy. Therefore everything I tried was also one- dimensional: If I eat this kale I’ll feel healthy, If I run every day I’ll be healthy, If I meditate daily I’ll be healthy. I put all of my eggs in one basket, so to speak, without ever considering the bigger picture and how closely and delicately everything is intertwined.

I know I’m not the only that has fallen into this trap, this same false sense of security that by homing in on one cleverly marketed thing, all of a sudden, all my problems will go away. What I began to realise was that health was so much more. That’s why my body was craving more. When we focus on just 1 or 2 elements, no matter how imperative they are to life, we neglect other areas of our lives that are screaming for the same tender loving care. There’s a sense of fullness that we endeavour to embody that only comes once we accept that we are multi-faceted individuals with varying needs that need to be nourished fully and completely.

When I first started out on regaining my health and vitality back in 2014, I dived head first into what I thought being healthy consisted of. I did all the things I thought I should be doing, from drinking green juice every morning after meditation practice, to spending hours in the gym. I filled my life with strict and rigid rules of what I should and shouldn’t do, and in all honestly, it was exhausting. I didn’t feel ‘healthy’ in the slightest. Sure, I felt physically fitter and stronger, but there was still something missing. Even when I ate ‘well’ and exercised regularly, I was still left wanting more. I still felt empty.

That’s when I realised I wanted to feel health-full; my body wanted to be healthy, but I wanted to feel full at the same time. To live a truly enriched life means filling ourselves up, nurturing and nourishing all areas that impact our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health so that we not only feel ‘healthy’ but health-full!

When I first began my health-full living journey, I could see the picture-perfect promise of what truly being healthy looked like: The glowing skin, toned physique, the vibrant personality that attracted others in, the confidence and self-assurance that came with trusting who you are, the physical wellness that led to increased vitality and abundant energy and let’s not forget the overall vibrational shift that comes with nurturing every single cell within your body. That embodiment of health – being, looking and feeling a certain way – can, quite simply, level up the entire experience of what it’s like to be human.

Yes, the health world is vast, it’s chaotic, noisy and busy. But… with the right tools, knowledge and understanding, living YOUR healthy life is completely achievable. In this book, I want to share everything that I have learned, embodied and all that I share with my clients on a daily basis so that you can find what your healthy life looks like for you. Let go of everything you may think you already know, stay open and let’s dive into this vast ocean of wonder together.

    THE THREE ELEMENTS OF HEALTH-FULLNESS

We are divine, beautiful and intricate beings, and although nourishing ourselves with good food and daily movement is essential, there are so many other elements that all add up to lead us to true health-fullness. I’ve narrowed these down to three core elements that lead us to living a health-full life:

    Health-Full Mind

This includes not only your level of self-worth but the relationship you have with yourself and letting go of your limiting beliefs that no longer serve you.

    Health-Full Life

This is about finding balance in all other areas of your life, not just your internal and physical health but your relationships, actions and belief systems too.

    Health-Full Body

Movement and nutrition are at the heart of this core element, but having a health-full body also includes how you look after and serve your body by nourishing it from the inside out.

Neglecting any one of these areas will leave us with a sense of unease within ourselves. Our bodies are constantly taking part in a delicate dance of push and pull, give and take, to find a graceful balance as we explore the ebb and flow of life; they are trying to reach a healthy equilibrium so that we can live a truly thriving and enriched life.

Nurturing all areas will empower you to take hold of the reins on your health and live the life you dream of. At the core of health-fullness is love and compassion - compassion not only for yourself but for the world around you too.

Although my journey to feeling ‘healthier’ may have stemmed from the desires of an insecure, nervous and unconfident teenage girl wanting to look and feel a certain way, my understanding of what health is and my desires of what I want my mind, body and soul to experience in this lifetime have changed dramatically. I have realised that it’s not just about adding years to your life but life to your years. I no longer am in the pursuit of an ideal weight, dress size or number on the scales. I no longer feel the need to follow a particular diet because that’s what Suzie Q does. I no longer hold myself, my values and my actions to the standards of someone else and I most certainly don’t follow a ‘trend’ or ‘hack’ because that’s the hot topic of the decade.

Over my career I have come to learn just how precious life is; not just life, but the beautiful temple that we have been gifted with to carry us through this lifetime. This divine and spectacular body that you are able to grace the world with is the only one you’ll have in this life. It’s unique, wonderful, intricate and precious just as you yourself are. Therefore, there will never be just one way of living, being, eating, moving, sleeping or thinking that works for everyone. Once we can embrace our uniqueness and take accountability for ourselves, we can choose to put loving inspired-actionable steps in place to help enhance our lives and live a life that serves us in the best possible way. These loving practices can help not only take our physical, mental and emotional health to the next level, but can penetrate so deep within ourselves that we can feel abundantly full at the same time. We can embody what it is to be health-full.

    EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED

Have you ever wondered why focusing on diet and exercise alone just doesn’t cut it?

I’m sure we’ve all found ourselves there at some point – that moment of wanting to upgrade our health, make a change and do something different. The only glitch is that most of these life-enhancing endeavours promote either switching up our fitness regime or venturing on a restrictive diet. Don’t get me wrong, the way we eat and how we move our bodies is incredibly important when it comes to being the physically healthiest version of ourselves possible, but I’m here to tell you that there is so much more at play here!

Take a moment to think back to the last time you took part in a diet, tried to eat better, the last time you told yourself you’re going to cut out sugar for good (only to eat the entire bar of chocolate the following weekend!) or even the last time you decided that a juice cleanse was the way to go. Did you notice how almost every other aspect of your life shifted with changing just that one element?

What about the last time you started a new exercise program, started attending weekly yoga sessions or began training for that half marathon? What else changed in your life?

More likely than not, by changing your diet or exercise routine, you would have noticed other areas in your life alter and shift too! Perhaps your daily yoga practice meant that you slept better, maybe you found your energy levels increased with reducing your intake of processed foods, perhaps your cognitive functioning improved, which meant your efforts at work finally paid off and you secured yourself that promotion, or maybe going to the gym with your friends led to improved self-esteem, strengthened connections and new relationships! Everything in our lives is so intrinsically connected that nothing works alone. When one thing shifts (even by just 1 degree!), that ripple effect will be felt across the board and seep into almost every other aspect of our lives.

We all have many different elements that make up who we are and that includes our health too. Diet and exercise are two very prominent key players, but they’re not the only ones! Yes, these two are the ones we first reach for when we want to improve how we feel about our health and wellness – after all, they’re the lowest picking fruit and the most seemingly accessible to us as these are the two that are most commonly talked about. There’s only one hiccup… these two aspects can also be the most overwhelming.

There’s so much information out there now that everyone and their dog has an opinion on the best way to eat and the best exercise program to ‘fix’ any ailment, concern or goal you may have. In fact, these hundreds of opinions can all create conflicting segments of (sometimes false) knowledge and understanding that we can soon find ourselves down the deepest, darkest rabbit hole, feeling more confused than ever and with no light at the end of the tunnel to help us know how or where, to take our next step. No wonder these nutrition and fitness regimes leave us feeling daunted!

    I get it, beautiful.

    I’ve been there too.

I’ve been shoulder deep in that rabbit hole, struggling to catch my breath and feeling as though I’m drowning in a sea of contradicting information, not knowing which way is up. It’s exhausting, it’s confusing, and it made me feel defeated. But it doesn’t have to be that way!

The beauty of working towards health-fullness, is knowing that we have control over so much more than just diet and exercise alone. So if you’re fed up with trying the latest diet or fitness trend, then it’s time to look at the broader picture of who you are and approach the concept of being healthy holistically – That’s healthfulness in all its glory. Being health-full is about letting go of intense exercise regimes that exhaust us, ditching diet culture and releasing anything that no longer serves us. It’s about learning who we are, embracing what makes us unique and knowing that what serves us at any given moment in time is so delicately tailored to us as individuals that there will never be a one-size-fits-all approach. Yes, enhancing our understanding and practice of nutrition and movement are essential, but it’s time to unpack everything else that impacts our ability to be and feel health-full.

To unleash our true health-fullness, it’s time to broaden our understanding of what health really is. It’s time to put on your thinking cap and become the investigator of your own life – I want you to peel back the layers and become a detective of your own life to discover what it is you need so that you can take inspired action to get you there. As we dive deep into the three areas of health-fullness (health-full mind, life and body), I encourage you to notice how each lesson shows up within other areas of your life. More likely than not, falling flat in one area, will show up in others. All of these elements are so beautifully intertwined and connected that shifting just one will have a ripple effect and affect the others. As we work and shift one dimension, the others move as a result.

Becoming aware of all the facets that make up your health and wellness asks you to question which areas you feel need addressing and which areas need that bit of TLC. Health-fullness is about finding that ideal balance to achieve harmony and alignment in your life so that you can feel at ease, comfortable and in tune with your body.

Even with the best intentions, if you’re only focusing on one element, no matter how much effort you put in, you’ll still be left feeling empty; you’ll still be missing that feeling of fullness you get when everything aligns in true harmony. Of course, things won’t always be in perfect balance – after all, we know there is no such thing as perfect – but that’s ok! It’s about allowing for the highs and lows of life but knowing that at any given moment, you are in control and can turn things around to re-align yourself when needed.

It’s not about striving for perfection and trying to optimise every single area all of the time. Your priorities might change over time, occasionally some areas might need more TLC than others, and life may lead you to shift the balance on those you favour. As long as you’re aware that these are all fundamental needs that require your attention, you’ll feel a sense of fullness no matter what life throws at you, and you’ll adapt with the flow of life to nurture all aspects. You’ll be health-full.

This is where the balancing act of life presents itself. There is a constant push and pull to bring us back into equilibrium which will mean that some areas may feel abundant but may leave others lacking. The more we neglect these areas, the further we move away from experiencing health-fullness. Ultimately, I want you to feel so intuitively connected to your ‘self’ that at any given moment, you’ll be able to move from love, create more abundance in your life and feel completely nourished from the inside out. The more you can connect to that introspective self-knowledge, the more you’ll be able to maintain that balance of mind, body and life to keep yourself health-fully abundant at all times. The more you nourish yourself from the inside out, the more the external factors in your life will fall into place.

    ALWAYS CHOOSE LOVE

There are two places that our thoughts (and therefore our actions) stem from, either love or fear. When we operate from a place of love, we feel light, free, open, trusting, grounded and content. When we live life in fear-ville we feel lonely, pressurised, as though we may be lacking something (or many things), rejected, unmotivated and our sense of self-worth diminishes. Love brings us abundance and fear brings us scarcity – but here’s the key: We are love. YOU are love. Every single cell in your body is made up of this abundant source of unconditional love. That’s why choosing love raises our vibration because it makes our cells dance with joy and prosperity. If we choose fear, then dis-ease manifests itself within our body because it’s just not true to who we are at our core.

One of my biggest passions is helping others heal the relationship they have with themselves. If that relationship stems from fear, then that fear-based relationship ripples into different areas of your life. That might be the relationship you have with food, your parents, family, friends, exercise, finances, work or even your physical body. To have a truly content life full of abundance, we must heal the relationship we have with ourselves so that it’s driven from love, not fear.

How do you treat your most loved ones in your life? Do you treat yourself the same way? Self-destructive behaviour is all too common. Our inner critic can berate us, belittle us and convince us that we’re not worthy. She (or he) keeps us stuck, stagnant and still; she prevents us from moving forwards and leaves us feeling empty. We simply wouldn’t act that way to another, yet it’s all too easy to do so to ourselves. It’s time to make that change, do something different and unleash that unconditional love that lives at your core. It’s time to shower every single cell in your body with abundance so that you, too, can raise your vibration and feel health-full.

So, are you ready to heal the relationship you have with yourself? Are you ready to harness the strongest relationship you will ever be a part of? Are you ready to be your own best friend, cheerleader and true soul-mate? Let’s get started, beautiful.

    HEALTH-FULL MIND

    HEALTH-FULL MIND

IT’S TIME TO RELEASE YOUR LIMITING BELIEFS, UP YOUR SELF-WORTH GAME AND HARNESS A SOUL-FULL RELATIONSHIP WITH YOURSELF

    _____________________________________________

    KNOW YOUR SELF-WORTH

Your sense of self-worth is driven from your core belief of who you are. Self-worth comes from within and is a direct reflection of the love, respect and honour you have for yourself. The more you value yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually, the greater your sense of self-worth will be.

    Sounds wonderful, doesn’t it?

To love yourself that much; to value yourself more than anything?

We are only given this one Earth suit to carry us through life – that’s it! This isn’t a test run where we’ll get another opportunity to show ourselves more love, do things differently or finally live the life of our dreams – this is it, so we need to look after our body, cherish our uniqueness, honour our values and nurture our mind. The more you believe in yourself, the greater your sense of self-worth will be, and therefore, the more you’ll look after yourself and honour your values, likes, dislikes, dreams and even health.

Self-worth is driven by your ‘self’; by you and the unique, beautiful and wonderful individual that you are. Our sense of ‘self’ is also created through the experiences, challenges and opportunities we face. Our lives are shaped by our experiences and although we remain who we are at our core, our beliefs may change, values may shift and the way we experience life may alter as a result. Our ‘self’ is living and breathing just as we are physically and it’s key to be aware that it may shift with the highs and lows of life; that’s a normal part of experiencing life to its fullest. However, as our ‘self’ shifts and changes due to our experiences, so can our sense of self-worth.

Confidently loving yourself unconditionally and accepting every single part of you may be easier said than done. It can be all too easy for your sense of self-worth to become dependent on external factors. These might include someone else’s opinion of you, how ‘successful’ you perceive yourself to be, materialistic wealth, your perception of beauty and the attachment you hold towards your appearance as the currency of your success. There are so many influences that can either have a positive or negative impact on the way you view and value yourself; these just name a few! External validation is something we all seek at some point, perhaps more often than we’d like to admit; we almost lose faith and trust in ourselves and therefore need that reassurance and comfort from others.

Your experiences shape the way you live your life, they influence your belief systems and can even affect your
