Relation of Meditation and Yoga
Meditation and yoga have been praised for their numerous benefits on both the mind and body. They have shown remarkable efficacy in mitigating stress, managing various illnesses, and fostering holistic well-being. Meditation is just another form of self-hypnosis. While self-hypnosis is difficult and requires external help, meditation can be done easily and is not as deep as hypnosis. No matter how deep you go into meditation, you will not achieve the same effects of calm and peace as you get in self-hypnosis and you only get an upper effect. Achieving a deep hypnotic state in meditation is impossible and it is not achieved even after several years of doing meditation as it requires a calm and noiseless atmosphere. To understand the difference in between meditation and self- hypnosis you need to go into self-hypnosis once which stills the mind and is like an instant relief.
The purpose of both is the same only meditation is done consciously when you are mostly awake and attaining deep meditation is itself self-hypnosis. The final stage of meditation is self-hypnosis through thoughts rather than receiving instructions from someone else or giving suggestions to yourself. In meditation you give suggestions to yourself using thoughts in your own mind. In self-hypnosis you get the effect in minutes which will take you years of meditation to get the same effect.
Yoga and physical exercise are the same. The only difference is that yoga has several postures which can twist our body and muscles and stretch them to the extreme possible. This helps to release the tension in the muscles and joints and shift the pain sections in the blood to other parts of the body and improve the blood circulation. Yoga also helps to remove stiffness and stuck body parts and joints. The same effect can be obtained by normal exercises taught in schools, but we find them difficult to do and for us Yoga is something unique we want to
