How To Become An Influencer - Discover How To Build A loyal Following And Make Money Promoting Brands - Fawn Parker
Introduction
Marketing, like technology, has advanced at an exponential rate in recent years. Furthermore, these two have merged, giving rise to new strategies that assist brands, companies, and organizations in achieving their goals, which in most cases include increased exposure, recognition, and, of course, increased sales.
The product of this evolution is social networks. Their fundamental purpose is based on connection because they were originally designed to connect us with other people anywhere in the world. Faced with such a possibility, brands have entered this world by putting millions of goods and services at the customer's fingertips with just a click or a tap on your Smartphone's screen.
This trend fueled competition; after all, if many brands or organizations joined the world of social media, what would set them apart? The answer is simple: the strategies they chose to use to reach out to their customers.
Today's pace of life differs from that of a decade ago. People today move at a dizzying pace, so the use of traditional marketing for many brands has become obsolete, giving way to the purpose of digital marketing, which is nothing more than moving the strategies and adapting them to the digital plane.
Many digital marketing strategies have emerged as a result of numerous studies in recent years, and there are as many ways to apply them as creativity allows. However, on this occasion, we will highlight one of the most effective methods in this book, particularly for increasing the exposure and scope of any product: influencer marketing.
What Exactly Is Influencer Marketing?
Influencer marketing is a new digital marketing strategy that entails establishing a series of collaborative links between brands and companies and people with high visibility and prominence on the Internet known as 'influencers.' But what exactly are influencers?
Influencers are not superhumans or magical creatures who keep the secret of social networks locked away in a magic book. They are people who are simply known for their receptivity and charisma in the virtual world. Some of them, such as YouTubers, have channels with thousands (or even millions) of subscribers and followers.
Influencers are a product of technological evolution and play an important role in today's society. Naturally, these social media kings are true diamonds in the rough for brands, companies, organizations, and even entrepreneurs with new ventures. Their criticism of a specific product or their appearance while wearing a specific brand of clothing, for example, can significantly increase the widespread acceptance of a specific brand and, as a result, boost sales like foam.
This strategy can provide significant benefits to a company. Some examples are as follows:
• You get to amplify the brand's or company's positive messages.
• You will generate a lot of discussion on the internet about the brand's products.
• It drives more traffic to the brand's website or social media profile that the Influencer is promoting.
• The brand gains a positive reputation and a high level of prestige.
• If properly designed, an influencer campaign does not have to be expensive and can produce a satisfactory and profitable return on investment (ROI).
Influencers are generally followed by a target audience known for being very consumerist and having a lot of money: millennials. However, becoming an influencer or being considered an influencer is more than just having a large number of followers. It is about having your opinion followed and taken into account by a specific audience. At the same time, this implies a great deal of hard work that requires a great deal of learning, perseverance, and dedication.
Chapter 1: Choose Your Niche
There is no magic formula for becoming a well-known influencer. However, you will need charm to please your followers and to stay ahead of trends because the last thing you want to do in the digital world is lag.
But there are some tricks you can use to stand out, one of which is to target a specific niche. In other words, in order to stand out, you must identify a specific audience to address. And to do so, you must speak to them about a specific topic, something in which you stand out in a unique and distinguishing way.
It makes no difference whether you have 1,000 or 100,000 followers; what matters is that by speaking to a specific niche on a specific topic, you will achieve an audience that is highly committed to your content. This dedication will eventually translate not only into followers, but also into content consumers and an audience that is loyal to you and, of course, trusts your judgment. It will also undoubtedly entice brands to approach you in order to reach an audience committed to your criteria.
So, how do you pick a niche? The answer will depend on you and your abilities, because if you are good in the kitchen, you cannot target an audience that enjoys fashion design or choose summer clothing manufacturing as a niche. Does this mean you should only focus on one thing? Not exactly, everything happens at its own pace.
There are millions of people on social networks who create a lot of content and target different audiences; in
